What an amazing day at Pride! Our skaters brought their A-game and tons of energy, rainbows and glitter to the parade, showing off our DRG spirit and love for the community. Check out some of the highlights from today’s celebration and share your pics with/of us in the comments!

Hey Derbs!

We're gearing up for the Bourne Free Pride Parade on Saturday, 6th July 2024! Come on down to support us and maybe catch a glimpse of DRG's Gully (but watch those chips!)

DRG/derby folk we want you! Please drop us a DM letting us know how many are coming (mini derby and pups welcome) and if you are skating or walking with us, so we can share numbers with the organisers.

Skating in Pride allows us to use our visibility and platform to promote love, unity, and the message that everyone deserves to feel safe and valued both on and off the track.

Some will be heading into the festival at the end of the parade, while others can join us for a picnic in the Lower Gardens 🌈

🏳️‍⚧️ Today is International Trans Day of Visibility. Dorset Raging Gulls Roller Derby proudly exists, within and in support of, the trans community.

We celebrate not just visibility, but also the crucial importance of trans inclusion in sport, a value supported by WFTDA.

We would like to recognise our own skaters and highlight the inclusive gender policy by asking for a change to WIFTDA! Showing that inclusion is at the heart of our sport. We welcome feedback from the wider trans/nb community on this issue (Voice > Advocacy).

Every individual deserves the opportunity to participate fully and authentically in the sports they love. Let's continue breaking down barriers and creating spaces where all athletes can thrive.
