If you have an iPhone and have done the recent iOS 17 update. They have set a new feature called NameDrop to default to ON.

This allows the sharing of contact info just by bringing your phones close together.

To shut this off go to Settings,
General
AirDrop
Bringing Devices Together
Change to OFF.

There are other annoying changes but this one is a security risk.

This time, Car Park machines.
You know those nice little QR codes that you can scan with your phone to make a payment ?
Their latest brainwave is to stick their own little QR code over the real one they can nick all sorts of info about you and your card.
A quick peel to check is the way to thwart 'em. Keep your eyes peeled…….

SIX LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES TO LEARN FROM AN EAGLE !!

3. Eagles do not Eat Dead things. They Feed only on Fresh Prey.

MEANING; Do not rely on your past success, keep looking for new frontiers to conquer. Leave your past where it belongs, in the past.

4. Eagles Love the Storm.
When clouds gather, the eagle gets excited, the eagle uses the storms wind to lift itself higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagle uses the raging storm to lift itself above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the branches and leaves of the tree.

5. Eagles Prepare for Training;
They remove the feathers and soft grass in the nest so that the young ones get uncomfortable in preparation for flying and eventually flies/ when it becomes unbearable to stay in the nest./

MEANING; Leave your Comfort Zone, there is No Growth there.

6. When the Eagle Grows Old,
His feathers becomes weak and cannot take him as fast and as high as it should. This makes him weak and could make him die. So he retires to a place far away in the mountains. While there, he plucks out the weak feathers on his body and breaks its beaks and claws against the rocks until he is completely bare; a very bloody and painful process. Then he stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, new beaks and claws and then he comes out flying higher than before.

MEANING; We occasionally need to shed off old habit no matter how difficult, things that burden us or add no value to our lives should be let go off ……

Safety Tip of the Day!

If you are ever lost while hiking, get stranded with a broken down car, etc... and you notice your mobile phone is either low on juice or has no signal, here is a tip that very well may save your life.

Change the voicemail on your mobile to a message that gives your approximate location, the time, the date, your situation (lost, out of fuel, car broken down, injured, etc...) and any special instructions such as you are staying with the car, you are walking toward a town, etc.

The best part of this is that even if your mobile phone dies or stops working, your voicemail still works, so anyone calling your mobile looking for you will hear the message and know where to find you or where to send help.

Royal Mail are encouraging you to post any unwanted elastic bands in their post boxes!

They will be reused by the team, and the broken ones will be recycled!

Even if an elastic band is ‘biodegradable’ they can still take many years to degrade.

That's why we love this simple idea of Reusing & Recycling, to stop bands ending up on our floors and making their way into the ocean.
