This Saturday we see the next phase of Random Jams evolution.

We are inviting lyricists and poets to come along and lead the band to create some one off musical spectacles.

Headlining the night will be Gabriel Moreno & Ned Cartwright.

My primary intention for 2024 is to release more music. I'll be working with some producers but until then I'll be attempting to release a single every Friday 🫠

Visited the Family Business jam at The Gallimaufry in Bristol recently and was blown away by what they're doing there. Was honoured to be involved.

This is the sort of energy and space I'd like create with RJ in Bournemouth, but venues are struggling and unable to pay unless it's a busy night. Which means people coming out and supporting/getting involved.

This is Ibni on drums.

We met him and his Mum at Smallworld in August, where he was a mainstay in the jam tent. He plays all types of Percussion, Piano and Handpan (I expect there's plenty more instruments but thats what I've seen and been blown away by) 🔥

At 9 he is already a phenomenal musician and it was a real honour to perform alongside him 💜

For me he optimises the vibe of Smallworld and shows exactly why i keep coming back every year 🌱

An evening of spoken word & poetry. The theme this month is Fairy Tales 💜

Random Jams is back and at it's new home, The Four Horsemen. We'll be there next Thursday from 9 for some freestyle/jam tomfoolery and then every last Thursday from March 🔥

On Thursday we had the first Bourn Mouthy of the year.

A celebration of the musicality of words.

Our headliners, in a very rare 2 piece outing, were Dead Horse Bay. With Matt and J bringing a far more subdued, poetic and left field performance than the usual pageantry expected from the band.

Alongside them we had a plethora of new Poets to impress us with their skill and honesty as well as some of our favourites from last years event coming back to show us what they've been writing over the winter.

The silent vote was won by the incredibly emotive Rosanna. Host of Getting Poetical and all round champion of the local scene she especially wowed the audience with her piece, Istanbul.

We are so excited to have her back next month as our headliner which will again be on the 2nd Thursday, which is the 9th of February.

We are super excited to start a new wave of events in Bournemouth. Alongside the jam and spoken word there will be gigs and clubnights of a mix of genres as well as a super secret new venture we're cooking up. 😘

This weekend we have 2 nights happening. ❤️

Saturday we have a multi genre DJ night @ The Four Horsemen Pub. Fusing Dub, DnB, Electro and Beatbox Mashups.
