Mr Merlin and Okey Dokey the Dragon

Thanks to P&O Cruises for getting the Mr Merlin show onboard the lovely Ventura this week. Not many children because of the new school term starting but they're having fun and lots more Okey Dokey fans. One evening doing my show I had a handful of children but around 100 grandparents in black tie and posh frocks chuckling away at the back.

Mrs Merlin even got to come with me. The little Merlinettes are being looked after by lovely friends and family whilst we're away and it's very much appreciated.

This came up in my memories from 8 years ago. My staging and performance area may be different, a few more wrinkles and grey hairs too, but Okey Dokey the Dragon will still be his cheeky self and we'll have a lot of fun.

Lots of fun stuff all summer with Live at The Square - Bournemouth

Travelled north of Blandford today to do an end of term party for a nursery. Totally coincidentally the party I did afterwards was an end of term party for the primary school in the same village. It was just next door. I had the same parking space. 🙂

I'll be performing here this Sunday at the Dorset Street Food Festival Shows between Midday and 3pm. And it's FREE entry!

Fun in the sun today at Huge crowds and a great atmosphere. Well done to the committee and volunteers for all your hard work. It was a great success and the shows were well attended and hopefully well received.

Another happy customer. I really appreciate when people take time out to give me a review as it helps people who haven't seen any entertainers make a decision.

I've just taken delivery of a new batch of Okey Dokey keyrings. Some of them will be available for purchase at events that I perform at. They are 3D printed and look great IRL. What do you think?

My show info is up outside the 900 capacity theatre ready for my show. It's not in there though. I am in the lovely Club House though and you're welcome to join me to watch the show at 6.30pm. Just one problem, you'd need to get to the Mediterranean Sea as I'm onboard P&O's Arvia. I hope you go down well is something people might say to me before a show, but in this occasion it's probably not appropriate. 😁

This is always a nice, fun fete and as someone who has a lot of time for the Scouting movement and the 34th Bournemouth Scouts in particular, I hope you can come along and support it.

Oh, and I will be performing there too, so can and watch. :-)

It was nice to perform to so many people at Milford on Sea Community Centre (now known as The Bridge) this afternoon. A short hop across the county to Bridport to entertain holidaymakers. Doors have just opened so it will get busier. Easter has been quieter than usual, but it's starting to get busy now and I'm looking forward to a fun packed summer season.

One hour less in bed tomorrow, but the good news is, the evenings will get lighter. Don't forget to change your clocks. Although most of them sort themselves out nowadays eh? 🙂

I have a favour to ask. I want to add some new songs to my party playlist when I perform at your child's party in 2024. I don't do discos but I do use music for games and for when I'm getting ready. My children used to pick some great ones, but as they're not too far away from being teens, their choices are not in keeping with what I want to play. 🧐 So ...

A fantastic review from a Xmas party I did at a military base on the weekend.

We do a Xmas Eve box for our children every year. Hot chocolate, a gift, pyjamas (if they need new ones) popcorn, and for this year, we're going old school - a DVD of Elf that we picked up from a charity shop. Do you do this and if so, what's in your box?

I entertained at a lovely family party at Lower Parkstone tonight. It was so Chrismassy. They had fantastic hot dogs supplied and look who else turned up!
