With knitwear season approaching it’s time to get prepare last years knits for a quick refresh. It’s the perfect time to try Soak! The latest addition to our collection.

Soak is super easy to use, literally soak for 15 minutes and then flat dry. Use a towel to absorb the water by gently rolling your garment and patty.

Big life changes make you reassess your life and how to live it. Having recently lost my mother, I now find myself having to clear out a lifetime of belongings and despite her constant recycling of milk tops, tablet packets and food bags, I found that most of her belongings could end up in landfills. I’ve done my best to recycle or re-home things, but it’s no small feat. It’s made me wonder what I sell as gifts in my shop, how many end up in landfills? What can I do to help reduce our carbon footprint?

Thankfully I’ve already started conscious buying some years ago and have found some amazing brands that use either sustainable or recycled materials and some that can be repurposed. Packaging is always a big thing, so I have brands like Wanderflower whose sustainable packaging can also be repurposed with handy hints printed on the box, and Paddywax Candles who plant trees to offset their carbon footprint.

I've recently sign the business up to Ecologi https://ecologi.com/ Ecologi is an incredible organisation that facilitates carbon reduction and tree-planting projects all over the world. This is something we are all extremely passionate about at SugarMango, therefore we donate a percentage of each sale to support this cause.

It’s stress awareness month and something, that will affect us all at some point in our lives. So how do I cope with stress? ⁠

For me, I like to meditate with some of my favourite essential oils, either in a diffuser or spray. Holding crystals as a point of focus can also be helpful, something about how ancient they are and the energy they hold. ⁠

I also like to journal from time to time. Getting all your thoughts on paper can help free up space in your mind and calm it. I like free writing, when you just scribble anything down, with no grammar or spelling checks!⁠

And of course, you can’t beat a walk along the beach or a river, the water is something we need to connect with and is always calming.⁠
