Bradford South Asian Festival is excited to commission visual artist Aicha Bahij, who has created a set of interactive maps, detailing peoples journeys from South Asia to the UK. A chance to share and reflect on the many connections of the South Asian and multi-migrant communities here in Bradford and beyond.
Aicha is a visual artist based in Bradford. Her personal work today is centred around the human condition and how we make ourselves heard; the spirituality, the struggles. Sometimes strength, sometimes weakness. Sometimes bliss sometimes loneliness.

This wonderful piece sent in by Jonathan Britten, titled 'Alpha'.
Before lockdown Jonathan worked as a builder he found himself not able to find work due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Jonathan was gifted some paints during the first lockdown, from a friend who is a practising artist.
This piece is Jonathan's first piece in over a decade. We think it's absolutely stunning! What do you think? Let us know in the comments ππΌ
Jonathan says:
"Being creative really helped me during a seriously uncertain time."
