Accounts Administrator Role

Full time or part time role to suit the applicant.
Salary: circa £25,000 (depending on hours and experience)

Duties:
Assisting the finance manager in handling the accounting department's workflow.
Processing supplier invoices and reconciling to supplier statements.
Raising sales invoices, credit notes, and sending customer statements.
Processing bank transactions daily and reconcile accounts weekly.
Updating cash flow forecasts on a weekly basis.

Skills/Experience:
Experience of working within an accounts department (2 years+)
Experience of working with Xero (2 years+)
Attention to detail
Can communicate effectively with employees who have non-financial background
Ability to work to multiple deadlines

9-15th May is the UK’s Mental Health Awareness Week. Last year, we asked our Executive Chairman, Malcolm Little, to share his own personal experiences with mental health and why he believes that it’s important to create a safe space for employees and colleagues to open up in a work environment.

This year’s theme is loneliness, and Malcolm knows how this can build from seemingly nothing to a real issue, explaining “If left alone to fester, it can create a self-perpetuating circle of negativity around an individual, a circle that’s incredibly tough to break out of the longer it’s left.”

There have been some positive changes in recent times, with the stigma around several mental health issues such as anxiety and depression improving significantly, but even though many of us feel more able to talk about our mental health and wellbeing, there are countless people who are not yet there. This week is the UK's Mental Health Awareness Week (9-15 May 22). This year, like last, we want to take the opportunity to raise awareness of mental health and how seriously it can impact anyone, at any point in time.

The theme for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week is loneliness. The Mental Health Foundation says: “One in four adults feel lonely some or all of the time. There’s no single cause and there’s no one solution. After all, we’re all different! But, the longer we feel lonely, the more we are at risk of mental health problems.”

Millions of us experience loneliness. Take a minute to think whether you know someone who may need a phone call or a visit this week, and act if you can. This obviously shouldn't only happen this week, but if you can help then it's something, it's a start.
