The 309s play a mix of American dance music from the 1940s & 50s, plus a bunch of songs we've writte We want to entertain. Better still, come along and see us!
There's been one hell of a lot of popular music recorded since gramophones were invented. So many brilliant songs composed, arranged and brilliantly played. So much to choose from...
The 309s take their pick of songs mostly from the Southern States of America, between the years 1925 and 1955. This gives us quite a range of music, from Western Swing ("jazz with a cowboy hat") perfected in Texas by

The 309s are looking forward to providing more exciting music at Twinwood Festival for your dancing delectation. We're in the Moonshine Glade on Saturday, at 3.15 pm. Not seen us before? We play a mix of 40s & 50s American dance music - Country, Western Swing, jump jive & even a bit of country-style RnR. Lots of twin harmony vocals from Nancy and Rod, and a good-time party attitude. See you there especially Twinwoodians: the 'original' Twinwood fan group!

We'll be at a vintage fair in the grounds of Lotherton Hall near Leeds on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th August. Fun starts at 1pm on both days, and we'll be playing two full sets each day. Note that there is an entrance fee into the grounds. There is also a cafe, or bring a picnic and make a day of it. Here's some pictures of when we did the same event in 2018. (Stand-in bass player Jonny Hick doing a fine job.)

Busking in Whitby yesterday afternoon, moments before being crapped on by a seagull. (Maybe the copious crap already on the ground was a warning of the danger!) Tonight we are on stage at Whitby Rugby Club, along with the Ginjammers. Fun starts at 7.30.

"Just wanted to say thankyou to you all for such a fantastic show last night...the joy and fun of your music is just what we need these days. The feedback I've had has been very positive...one lady commented that it's the best Highlights show she's been to and she attends a lot!

It's official, The 309s are Fabulous. We'll be attempting to be tremendous at Sapgate Gardens, Thornton BD13 3HY on Saturday May 6th at 2pm. Bring your own wonderfulness.
