Where's Wendy?!
Well, as we head through May, it seems unbelievable but true - that I'm still talking about my blind eye!
Tomorrow I go in for yet another operation. Following this, a three-week recovery awaits me, which, all things going smoothly, should be the final stretch.
Then post-recovery includes an eye test, updating my prescription, and new glasses.
Once that's all set, I'll be back to being Wendy. 🤞
And, just because, I've attached a photo of Ziggy. He’s blissfully unaware of the chaos, living his best life without a single worry!

Little update on Wendy’s world following my eye op on Wed for my detached retina (Vitrectomy)

I’m still having to lie on my left side with only a 10 minute break every hour, on Tuesday evening I will be allowed to sit up. 🙌
It’s just a circle of clock watching as I have 3 different eye drops and painkillers.

It’s a long road to recovery and I have to wear this wristband until 6 May - so that gives an indication. I will be wrapping myself in cotton wool - eye sight is so precious

I’m so lucky to have had such a wonderful & supportive circle of friends who have kept me fed, kept me company, run errands, sent messages & calls. I certainly couldn’t have got through this alone.

🎬 It was an exciting morning yesterday as Plank PR asked me to accompany the talented actor and writer Tom Basden to BBC Morning Live. Tom was there to talk about his brilliantly funny, second series of 'Here We Go' - make sure you tune in..it’s ace!

🍒It was a good start to the week at Cherry Girl's Wardrobe located in the heart of Stockport's old town - where I attended a networking event with Stockport Women's Networking Group

I did an interesting webinar with Supply2Gov hosted by Eddie Regan 'Know the market and your own capabilities’

On Wednesday I went to Business Lunch hosted by HR Dept Wilmslow at Just-Ice-Poynton , the lunch is an informal gathering that encourages business relationships over a sociable meal.

🪄Today I attended the Business Introductions event at Coco Cabana in Ancoats. Coco Cabana is a fantastic venue offering delightful food.

🍻On a personal note: Wednesday was an absolute blast as I was reunited with some old friends in the party town of Liverpool! It's been an unbelievable 30 years since we last saw each other! we had a great time at Albert's Schloss - Liverpool and Concert Sq!

and a big thanks to Hayley Ekgren for all her patience and help this week! 🤦‍♀️

🌟Summing up my exciting week 🌟
What a whirlwind of a week it has been at Zap Vehicle Charging! I had the opportunity to conduct site visits to two amazing homes in Bramhall and Alderley Edge.
One of the aspects of our work at Zap is our super quick turn around and this week was no exception as we will be fitting the Bramhall installation as early as next week!

I attended several networking events, providing a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals and expand my network.

Manchester Market Place hosted by Alison Hibbert at Hotel Football, Old Trafford, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel then networking took a unique twist as I set sail along the scenic River Irwell on an amazing Manchester River Cruises, surrounded by the stunning views of Manchester's skyline.

On Wednesday I attended the stockport networking event at Bramall Park Golf Club, thanks to Prydderch Financial Planning Limited’s invitation. There were business professionals from various industries networking, sharing referrals, and building meaningful connections.

The Business Network South Manchester held at Best Western Pinewood Hotel on Thursday was a networking event that had it all - warmth, friendliness, a delightful lunch, and an informative guest speaker.

I'm also super proud once again to maintain the status of Airbnb Superhost!

and finally, let's talk dogs! My Ziggy was at Bramhall Dog Groomers this week and doesn't he just look gorgeous, I and Zig also have the delight of little Oscar staying with us for a few days so we are in for a fun-packed week!

I’ve maintained my Airbnb Superhost title for another 3 months 👏👏

It was delighted to attend the grand finale of Simply Networking event held at the vibrant BOX Deansgate yesterday.
The final event was certainly a celebration of all the years of networking and meaningful exchanges. They ended on a high note, but their ethos of providing relaxed networking without any membership, commitments or pressure will certainly be missed.
