Hi All
Firstly, I would like to apologise for the lack of posts in recent months. As many of you know I have been quite poorly and been in hospital a few times. I would like to say thank you to everyone who sent get well messages, cards, flowers and chocolates ❤️.
I am pleased to say that at long last the tearoom will be OPENING this SUMMER. There are many changes that I’m hoping you will like and that it will become a hub for the local community, and those from wider afield. You will always find a welcoming environment. I will keep you updated on the developments.

Hi All I know we were hoping to be ready for opening this week, unfortunately the work isn't yet complete. We will keep you informed, hopefully it won't be much longer. I opened the Village Store and Betty B's Tearoom on the 23rd October 2019, 5 months later the Tearoom was closed because of Covid. How much has changed in the past year, individuals and families have had their lives changed. For so many, life will never be the same. We have witnessed the best and the worst over the past year. I truly hope that if nothing else, we will continue to take time to say hello to a stranger, we will continue to check on our friends and neighbours and people who have come into our lives. That we will show compassion and forgiveness and treat people how we ourselves would like to be treated. If we didn't already know or appreciate it, Covid 19 has taught us how precious life is and how we often take things for granted. I can't wait to take my mask off to be able to smile at everyone again
Thank you to all the amazing NHS staff who have worked tirelessly and have witnessed so much, to all the emergency services who continue to protect us and to everyone who has supported others.
I will be making a small area outside the shop in memory of this time in our lives and to share hope and happiness.
Please stay safe and look after one another. Xx

Hi All hope everyone is staying safe and keeping well. In light of the Government's recent announcement we have taken the decision to re-open the shop to help ease the situation. We will be open from this Friday 8th Jan and will be open Monday to Saturday 10-3.30 daily. Hope this helps. Bernice x

We would like to thank all our wonderful customers for the amazing support we have received this year. Thank you to all staff and my family for helping throughout this difficult time. We truly hope that 2021 will bring health and happiness to all. We will be closing for a while due to the Government restrictions and to undertake some refurbishments. Hi All just wanted to say that unfortunately because of the latest rise in people being diagnosed with Covid 19, we will not be unfortunately be able to open Betty B’s 😢. I had truly hoped that it would be possible and had some special treats and a n exciting menu planned for all our wonderful customers. We have so appreciated the support ❤️, especially since the tearoom has been closed more than it has been open since we opened towards the end of last year. We will continue to support as many as we can during this difficult time, it certainly has been a very difficult time for everyone 🥰.The shop will continue to remain open and provide takeaways. If anyone would like an afternoon tea, either Traditional or Christmas, please phone or text as soon as possible as I have limited availability. It really saddens me to have to write this but I hope the two ladies who were in the shop at lunchtime today and who forgot to pay for the items they took will remember to come in to pay for them tomorrow. Thank you Bernice

Santa's post box has arrived!! 🎄 🎅 🎁

Hi All sincere apologies for not having been in contact for a while. Hope everyone is keeping safe. Can't believe that Christmas is less than a month away 🎄🎅🤶. I truly hope that you will all be able to meet family members, if you choose to do so.
I have a limited number of the elf hot air balloon sets left. Unfortunately I do not have any elves left, although hoping to get a few more in by the end of the week. If you have an elf, or two they can be put in the basket. The balloon will be personalised with your child's/children's name and will be either green or red in colour. The basket will have a candy cane (or 2/3 depending on the number of children), hanging on the inside of it. If you know of a child who is deserving of this and the family are not in a position to purchase one, please let me know (Santa and I have put a couple of these aside 😉and they can be delivered).
