Just wanted to say, I'm grateful for today. There are many that not as fortunate and we need to remember them. I am also grateful for all the men and women out there working hard to keep our countries going.

Take Small Planned Steps
Don’t underestimate the power of small, consistent changes over time. Nothing drastic ever works for very long. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been there, done that! Within a short while, I was back to square 1.
Take some time to think about what it is that you want to achieve over the next few weeks.
Write down some goals but also think about the steps you're going to take to achieve those goals.
No use choosing to run a marathon in a few weeks because right now, most of us need to stay home and stay safe. So marathons aren't on the list.
But decide: how do you want to feel and what you wish to achieve.
And it should not be a number on the scale; it’s about how active you want to be, how great you want to feel and what you want to accomplish.
Want extra support? Then invite a friend or two to join us here.
It’s great to have someone you can turn to and lean on who has similar goals. 'Lean on',...but with 2 meters between you! πŸ˜‰

It can be more motivating and help you stay on track better if they're joining you in similar activities and are using a similar eating plan.
Can you think of someone that might appreciate the support from you too?

Mood swings can be one of the really hard symptoms of menopause to deal with.
If you’re experiencing mood swings, you could try yoga or meditation which can help to calm the mind and reduce stress. Different people will have different ways of coping with mood swings but if there’s an exercise you enjoy such as running or weight training, doing an exercise you enjoy can help in lifting your mood. Try also to focus on having a balanced diet rich in protein and omega 3 fatty acids with complex carbohydrates. Some research has shown that complex carbs such as buckwheat, oats and quinoa is linked to improving mood, so you may wish to look at swapping some simple carbs with complex carbs and seeing if this helps with your symptoms.

Doctor’s Advice
Protecting some β€œyou” time to relax and unwind can be beneficial as can strategies like mindfulness. Try not to bottle up feelings of anxiety or irritability but take time to explain to those close to you how you’re feeling and how they can best help. Some women find low intensity exercise like yoga and Pilates helpful and brisk walking will stimulate the release of endorphins which makes us feel immediately happier and calmer.
