💫 Guinea Pigs are very commonly kept as companion animals, but are also very commonly seen by vets with multiple issues related to diet. These are naturally grazing animals and need a huge amount of the diet to be hay and fresh vegetables and greens. They then need it to be supplemented with a good quality pellet diet and some fruit. Guinea pigs are unable to manufacture their own vitamin C so it is vital they are fed lots of veggies, greens and fruits that contain this.
