Tears are streaming down my face as I write this.

Little Saylor, the star of the Newborn chapter of my book, should be joyfully celebrating her first birthday in a few days. Instead, she’s bravely fighting for her life.

A few months ago, Saylor was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer, beginning a journey no child should have to face. My heart aches deeply, and I can only begin to imagine the unimaginable pain her family is enduring.

Every day, I check her account , hoping for a miracle, but the miracle has yet to happen.

Just over a week ago, Saylor underwent a stem cell transplant and is now very poorly.

While my faith in the Almighty sometimes wavers, I strongly believe in the power of collective energy and love. No matter your beliefs, I ask you to please hold Saylor and her family in your hearts. Send them your prayers, your positive thoughts, your healing energy, and all the love you can muster.

If you’ve ever had your hair and makeup done at the studio, there’s a good chance you were cared for by Saylor’s incredible mum, Alix .
