Hi all,
First of all, thank you so much being so welcoming and so supportive of us - we are overwhelmed with the kindness we have received so far, we cannot wait to welcome you all and it has been a pleasure getting to meet those that we have met already. We are incredibly grateful and excited to be joining your community.

We also wanted to thank Helen and Mike for their patience whilst we have been going through the process for the past months and also for their help and support throughout. It is clear that they have had such an impact on the community, creating a fantastic place for all to gather at The Clockhouse with memories many cherish, we certainly have a high bar to meet!

So, what's next?

We are excited to announce that The Clock Inn will be officially re-opened on 16th August, 2024 at 12PM!

The bar will be open from this date and time, and the kitchen will follow in the coming weeks (we will confirm the kitchen opening date in due course).

We have been working around the clock (pun not intended😋) to get The Clock Inn ready to welcome you all back next week. You will notice a couple of updates, like the fresh thatch on the front (a massive thank you to the thatch maestro Scott at D&S Symonds Thatchers for your speedy support, it looks fantastic), to some new products on the bar, a branding refresh, and the addition of our instagram account! There are more updates we will gradually be making and announcing as we go, physically and virtually, and we already have a couple of exciting events for you all in the pipeline.

We are waiting for the phone line to be activated, so here are our mobile numbers in case you want to get in contact in the meantime and you are also welcome to contact us on here too.

A message from our lovely cleaning company:

Just to inform you we will be carrying out a deep clean before your 1st guests arrive.

All bed linen and bed protectors were removed before lockdown. On reopening, we will be doing another deep clean and will sanitise all surfaces with disinfectant and disinfectant spray. We a will also be providing hand sanitizer to all cottages for guests to use.

Once the guests depart, we will be doing a deep clean and washing ALL bed linen (please can i ask if you have not got any spare protectors, that you please order some and get then sent to myself or I can buy some on your behalf ( please inform me).

Myself and the team will be carrying out all cleans in full PPE. We will be following government guidelines. So because of this I'm afraid the cleans will take a longer to do, but hopefully only an extra hour and extra laundry costs incurred.

The cottages will be deep cleaned and sanitised before your arrival. Frequently handled items, such as books and games, bubble bath and shower gel have been removed (sorry), but please feel free to bring your own of course. Crockery, cutlery, glasses and cups will be put through the dishwasher by us.
When you arrive, we will keep our distance at all times (sorry), and you will be able to gain access to the cottage without any check-in procedure. Please use our contact details for any time before you arrive or while you are here. We can also offer a WhatsApp or video call over Zoom.

As Government guidance changes, we will adapt our procedures accordingly. During the entire period of the COVID lockdown we have adhered to the guidance and Dorset has been one of the least affected areas in England. We aim to help keep it that way.
