As we move into Spring it's time to look back at the first quarter of the year...

The first quarter of 2023 has seen a surge in demand for rental properties, with many tenants looking to secure high-quality accommodation as quickly as possible. This increased demand has resulted in a rise in rental prices, which has had a positive impact on both our landlords and Clarity as a business. Landlords have been able to achieve excellent yields, and the increased competition for rental properties has allowed us to secure attractive terms for our clients.

This has been a positive and encouraging period for the property market as a whole, despite negative reports from some circles in the media, and we are excited to see what the future holds. We are confident that we will continue to see a strong and vibrant property market throughout the rest of the year and the buoyant property market has allowed us to provide a first-class service to our clients, and we look forward to continuing to do so throughout the remainder of 2023.

Energy-efficient. It’s the gold standard for modern homes. And in the quest to waste less power, save money, and help care for the planet, there’s lots that can be done.

What is home energy efficiency?

In simple terms, energy-efficiency means doing more with less. So for instance, energy-saving light bulbs create the same amount of light but use less energy and waste less heat than old-style light bulbs. Why’s that so important? Because energy-efficiency limits our levels of energy consumption.

For nearly 25 years, ARLA Propertymark has been actively promoting the highest standards across all sectors of the Private Rented Sector and campaigning for regulation. It provides letting agents with training and legal advice, supporting them and ensuring they are current on legislative changes.

Here at Clarity we are a fully accredited member of the Association of Registered Letting Agents, or ARLA for short. It goes without saying that this is a worthy and notable accreditation. Plus, it’s very hard to achieve. Talitha has undergone training and evaluation to make sure that Clarity meets ARLA’s gold-standard Codes of Practice. However, this is an ongoing process. Because legislation changes regularly, we keep fully up to speed. We have to do this – and we want to.
