Nick working hard this morning. It was too nice to be indoors so we took advantage of the beautiful weather and trained outside.

They tried to make her go to rehab and she said "yeah ok but I'll do extra focused work with dedicated time so my recovery is waaaaay quicker"
Jess getting her ACL rehab this morning. She is already on week 4 of the NHS prescribed exercises just 2 weeks since surgery. Why? Because she did a whole lot of prehab work to strengthen surrounding tissue and structures, to maintain her general health and well being and to give herself the best chance of recovery.
Nick getting his sweat on this morning. He does have a head but he's busy using it to get in shape!

These just live under the bed in a bag. Unlike the metal work, the knowledge I've acquired across a number of sports over the years has helped me to help others.

Can you really get a six pack with one exercise in 3 months?
If you were already lean and followed a calorie deficit diet then maybe.
For most people this is just unrealistic and setting them up for failure. It's not about fitness it's about selling books or magazines or supliments.
Making new lifestyle choices and forming good habits provide long term, life improving changes that are far more beneficial than a six pack.

Does this sound familiar?
You've been to your appointment and been given some exercises to do but you're not doing them because of one of the following reasons:-
You don't see what the point is.
You don't know why you are doing them.
You don't know how to do them.
You can't do them or they are too easy.
You are scared you might do them wrong and cause further injury.

NHS physios are over stretched and can only give you very limited time unfortunately. You don't need a physio to perform the exercises but having the support and guidance of someone to help you understand the benefit, how to do them and check your progress can help.

Jess trying some challenging movement stuff today. It's ok to not be in 'perfect' form all the time. When in life are you in perfect form? Challenge your body to become strong in all movement patterns.
Jess has an ACL reconstruction on Tuesday but she's still training upper body right up to the wire and she'll be straight in to rehab the knee the week after.
Don't wait for your operation to get fit. Bring fit will speed recovery.
'smart' watches can be a good motivation tool but can create negative feelings when you don't meet expectations. They can also lead you into a false sense of security.
One on one coaching can give you far more realistic feedback alongside specifically designed exercise and nutrition based on your needs not on an algorithm.
Nothing wrong with the way a dad bod looks if you're happy, however Visceral fat is stored in a person’s abdominal cavity and is also known as ‘active fat’ as it influences how hormones function in the body. An excess of visceral fat can, therefore, have potentially dangerous consequences such as heart attack.
Nobody needs a six pack but if you would like to give yourself the best chance of staying healthy for longer, it's never too late to get in better shape.

Prevention is better than cure. Education is how I work with my clients; how did you get to this point and how do we get you where you want to be? whether that is recovering from an injury or progression to a goal.
Sure tools like tape can be useful but they only support the rehabilitation process, they don't replace it.
There is no miracle tea or potion that will fix your problem, but there is potentially a solution, it just requires some work.

It is often reported or claimed by some in the industry that looking down at mobile phones is causing neck problems, but according to a recent medical review, there is no evidence to support this claim.
