This charity cookbook has been created by the lovely enterprise team from Brighton Girls with the aim of raising money for Brighton Community Kitchen.

You can currently find a copy of the book to purchase in our Kemptown shop, which features a recipe of our popular Alfajores de Maicena 😋

Homemade treats on the counter this week:

Vanilla sponge cake with dulce de leche: soft and fluffy, a decadent Argentinian cake. It is made with layers of moist vanilla cake and delicious dulce de leche.

Chocotorta: classic Argentinian and utterly delicious. Consists of coffee soaked chocolate cookies layered with a rich and smooth cream made of dulce de leche and cream cheese.
Fun fact: Chocotorta is ranked 10th on the list “Best Cakes in the World” by TasteAtlas.

What an incredible week it’s been! 🌞🥟⭐️ We’ve officially opened our new place in Kemptown, and the response has been great! We’re also thrilled to announce that we’ve received a 5-star hygiene rating from the council, a testament to our commitment to quality and dedication to ensuring the highest standards in our workplace. The sunny weather has made everything even better, bringing a wonderful energy to both our new location and the main Malo, which just had one of its busiest weeks! Brighton, you’ve been so good to us since we first opened our doors 2 and a half years ago, and opening our second Empanaderia in this wonderful city is a dream come true. It feels so special to share our passion for delicious empanadas with this vibrant community.

Our empanadas are now available at Honey Cake by Mary in Hove - a delightful spot known for their unique honey cakes 🍰 With 7 delicious flavours including the classic, pistachio, and even pumpkin spice, our empanadas make the perfect savoury combo before indulging in their delicious treats 🤤

🎉 Brighton! We are so happy to announce that we will be opening our Kemptown Empanaderia this THURSDAY 25th JULY!! Doors open at 7:30am, and first 100 people will get a free empanada of their choice! 🥟

The focus of the experience involves cooking your own steak, at your table, on an individual volcanic hot stone, a method that was first used centuries ago. The hot stone style of cooking allows each diner to cook their steak exactly as you like, keeping every bite as hot and tasty as the first. The steak is sourced by our steakhouse , where we work with the best meat. Coming straight from Argentina, all our meats are premium quality, grass-fed Angus- breed that stand out for its softness and juiciness thanks to its 45-day wet-aging process. 🇦🇷

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and we are introducing our limited “say it with empanadas” campaign where you can write a personalised message for your special one and we will stamp the message onto the empanada. What’s not to love!?

How it works? 🥟
Comes in sets of 2. Visit our website (link in bio) and on the “Valentine’s Special” tab simply select the flavours of your empanadas and either one of our pre-made messages or type your own on the text box above. If you’re adding your initials, write them above and we will separate them with a heart. Ordering more than 2 empanadas? Repeat the process until you’ve got them all on the checkout page.

Want us to put them inside a red heart-shaped box to make it extra special? Add the option before checking out! 💕

Choose collection date - available to collect from our Duke Street shop from Saturday 10th until Thursday 15th February. Must preorder minimum 48h before collection date. The empanadas will be cold, ready for you to reheat at home (8/10 minutes in the oven). These last for up to 4 days in the fridge from the day of collection.

Please note last day to order for delivery before Christmas is Tuesday 19th December at 2pm. Our empanadas arrive fresh and you can freeze them to make them last longer. You can place your order now in advance to guarantee availability of products - simply email us your order number and we will make sure we don't ship it until the 20th to ensure your products are fresh when you receive them!

Last Christmas Eve we sold out of most empanada flavours so we recommend ordering in advance to avoid disappointment!🥟🎄❤️🍾

Our boxes of Homemade Alfajores are the perfect gift this Christmas 🎄🎁 Made from scratch in our premises, and handcrafted one by one.

Alfajores are an exquisitely light Argentinian shortbread cookie filled with (a lot of!) Dulce de Leche. They are extra tender and delicate thanks to a generous amount of cornstarch in the dough. The edges are coated in finely shredded coconut for added flavour and texture.

Boxes of 2, 6 or 10 available. These will arrive in a box with tags ready to be gifted, or write your own personalised message and we will send it directly to the recipient’s address. Order yours now in time for Christmas!🎄
