Beautiful 27 slat roll back bench refurb commission. This was a lot of work but the result is worth every minute. 27 identical slats created from reclaimed Sussex oak.

Finished and delivered 2 suggestion boxes to the awesome independent ethical supermarket HISBE Food for both its Brighton and Worthing stores. I use reclaimed oak left over from a house build and finished in my own blend of natural oils including linseed and tung. Lovely little project, thanks for thinking of and supporting me Hisbe!

How to make a dog crate into a usable working surface? Add a reclaimed scaffold and pallet wood topper. Finished in natural beeswax.

How do you turn a room that is too small for a bed, into a bedroom?... Bespoke reclaimed scaffold board and pine cabin bed and desk, built right into the door and window frame to use every last cm of available space. Finished in satin clear varnish. Really pleased with the result, feels like you’re in a luxury sleeper train cabin, very cool.

Just finished this Reclaimed Sussex oak patio set. Two chairs, a bench and a table complete with oak insets. Really lovely to work on these and turn them into something stunning. They are on display this weekend as part of the brighton open house artists trail so pop in to our workshops at and checkout artwork and crafts from the many talented people who have studios here.

Created a pond surround on the warmest day of the year so far. Couldn’t resist fixing up an old bird table lying on the ground with the off cuts.

I installed 10 of our recycled timber bird boxes in a park this week and a pair of great t**s were investigating before I’d even taken the ladder down! Still a few weeks to get a box up for birds to use for nesting this spring. I have a few left to buy for £25 (£45 for 2) so get in touch if you’re interested.

I’ve turned some old window frames into a bench! I brushed back the cast iron Victorian bench ends to bare metal, reprimed and repainted. I recycled some old mahogany window frames by turning them into replacement slats. Finished in tung oil to help preserve the timbers. Loads of work but totally worth it and the grain lives on! Got any old bench ends you want refurbished?
