Notification of Clinic Re-opening - 13th September 2021 We are so pleased to announce that the clinic is re-opening on 13th September with some changes. We will now be operating as a multibed clinic every Monday at Revitalise, 123a Western Road, Hove, BN3 1DB.

Today we are celebrating a full year of running the service and though we all have heavy hearts that this is our last clinic day for now, we also feel we have to focus on celebrating all that we have acheived. It has been such a pleasure to serve our local NHS staff through this most challenging year and we hope that our goodbye is not for long.

We are trying to offer the best service for the NHS so we have extended our hours as a trial to see if they are popular.

We have added an evening shift on Monday 5.15pm to 9.00pm, extended Tuesday and Wednesday evenings to 7.00pm and added Wednesday morning 9.15 to 1.15pm.

Meet the Team

You can book with Claire on Thursday afternoons.

She received a First Class Honors Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and was awarded a prize for excellence in TCM studies in 2007. Her studies included a six-month placement in China working in the Xiyuan and Zhongri Hospitals in Beijing. Additional post-graduate training includes acupuncture for children, women's health, fertility and pregnancy as well as pain management, stress, mental health, and addiction.

Barbara treats with us on a Wednesday afternoon.

Barbara has a BSc in Acupuncture and has been practicing since 2007 with postgraduate experience and training treating a variety of conditions including women's health, fertility, Musculoskeletal, cancer-related symptoms, and mental health. She is part of the Anxiety UK program.

Cara treats at the service on Thursday mornings.

She received a first-class degree in traditional acupuncture in 2015. Her specialism is PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

Her passion is the integration of Eastern and Western medicine and she was awarded a scholarship to Heilongijang University in China in 2019 to explore this idea.

Being the co-founder of this unique clinic for the NHS has been hugely rewarding and a step closer to seeing how both East and West can work together efficiently and effectively.

Tuesday afternoons you can see Anna in our service. She is a valued member of our team.

Anna has a special interest in treating musculoskeletal conditions, back pain in particular. She is passionate about getting people involved in their rehabilitation. She also has experience working with people with cancer and suffering trauma.

Quite a number of our female patients have reported that since starting acupuncture their periods are less painful, on time, and have noticed reduced PMS. Acupuncture has a strong reputation for being able to help regulate hormones. So if you are plagued by your period/menopause and don't want to take medication, come in and see if we can help.

Repetitive strain injury can be a real bane. Especially agitated by excessive computer work and WFH poor ergonomics.
Recently we had a win- a first-time patient returned for a second session to report an 80% improvement in the condition which had become chronic. Recently sighted by NICE as a recommendation to deal with chronic pain.

Exciting News the British Acupuncture Council has recognized our initiative and given us some funding towards keeping the project going.

This means we can stay open till the end of November and have now opened the diary for 6 weeks in advance!

Our MYMOPS report 86% of patients report an improvement in symptoms. It's working!!!

We still need our happy and existing patients to spread the word so we can reach more NHS staff and support as many of you as possible as Winter approaches and stay open into 2021.
