The 8 limbs of yoga

Asana (pose) IS JUST 1 OF 8 🤯
Yoga is the unity of spiritual, mental and physical practices
Only 3 of the 196 yoga sutras mention asana… let that sink in. This means asana is only around 1% of yoga!!!🧘‍♀️ 🙏

Yoga is the way we live our lives not just how we move our bodies.

It’s international day of yoga 🧘‍♀️

Taking today to remember the ancient Indian origins of yoga, a practice that is now often seen as just a physical one. Yoga is actually formed of 8 limbs the asana (pose) being just one of these 8! 🙀

Celebrating tonight in class with these wonderful women, 3 generations of yogis. What a special thing to do as a family, I feel honoured to get to teach you every Friday evening. 🧘‍♀️🙏

Today some JCDance and BalletBees students and their grownups went on a trip to go and see perform ‘Magic Word’ in Brighton today! The kids loved it and we where lucky enough to have a picture with the dancers at the end😍🩰🩰

New contemporary classes for adults and children starting on Sunday.

Classes start with a warm-up focusing on strength and endurance, moving on to sequences working on movement quality, transitions in and out of the floor, and creativity.

Student spotlight:

I am soooo impressed! Cece only started ballet 7 weeks ago!! She works so hard in all of her classes and has improved so much. She always dances the most beautiful improvisation at the end of her class with real sensitivity and musicality! Well done🩰💜
