Well, these just flew off the counter yesterday. Thankyou .duffin for the inspiration!

I will certainly be baking more of these (in larger quantities)next Sunday. Along with a huge array of cakes 🍰 and other savouries.

We are closed this weekend as two of us are relaxing in tbe sunshine further south, recharging before we reopen on June 16th. 🥂🌞

How can I describe these chocolate Guinness brownies with a Guinness caramel?
I can’t.
But, I think, the best I’ve ever made.(And believe me, I’ve made 1000’s of brownies over the years.)

Was very aware of how lucky I am to have all my children so near, and a lovely house to celebrate in. And to have my mum here too.

I’ve been at it again…
More recipes from Falastin when we had friends for dinner last night.
Spicy olives 🫒 & toasted red pepper, and hummus & pita to start. Then I had to do the chicken shawarma pie as it is so very delicious. With a chopped salad.
And to finish. Wow. The chocolate & qahwa flour free torte. Think espresso,chocolate,cardamom, saffron & rose water. Dark, smokey and indulgently rich. With lots of thick cream. Might go on the menu at the Secret garden occasionally…..

The hummus is a revelation. I don’t think I’ve ever made it with dried chickpeas before. Will never be able to buy a tub again.
