Dance Professionals Fund

Dance Professionals Fund

The DPF is the largest UK welfare charity offering support for dance professionals. We help professional dancers, choreographers as well as dance teachers.

Dance Professionals Fund aims to support people in the dance world throughout their lives. We are the leading UK charity offering financial assistance for individuals during their dance careers and into retirement. It does not matter whether you have worked for a major dance company or as an independent dancer.

'Many voices. Working together. With purpose.'

Dance Professionals Fund believes celebrating with an EDI focus is a step in the right direction.

"This board has a variety of work experiences and backgrounds which allows us to access an array of perspectives and knowledge. Diversity and Inclusion is important because we know how beneficial and elevating it is to any business and of course to each individual." - Samira Saidi

The theme of this year is 'Many voices. Working together. With purpose.'

With this theme in mind, we spoke with two of our Trustees, Paul Liburd MBE & Samira Saidi, to ask them about their experience of being a DPF Trustee, including the importance of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion within our charity:

"I became a Trustee as I know from personal experience the value and benefits of this charity. As a dancer, after sustaining an injury the fund enabled me to have the required treatment to get back to the studio and stage with a much faster timeline." - Paul Liburd MBE

Following the tribute to the late Len Goodman on BBC Strictly Come Dancing last weekend, revisit this blog by our Executive Director Clemmie Cowl.

"...dance is a wonderful way to both express yourself and to be yourself – no matter who you are or even how well you can dance. I trust Len Goodman would agree." - Clemmie
