This Holiday School we’ve been learning about ART DIRECTION and how props are made for film production.
We were lucky enough to be joined by a real art director who walked us through the process of making spell books which we will be using in our films this week.

Today we’ve been doing exercises to develop our hand eye coordination whilst also creating a new type of burger restaurant 🍔

One student said “you should be proud of your children for creating such amazing new burger ideas! I created the Jamie Oliver oil tower burger of destruction” 💥

I can’t wait to try it 🦖

Year 6 Leavers Project 👨‍🎓

Today we’ve been working at and playing with our drone to get some fantastic aerial shots 🚁

The students today were great fun and the movie looks great! It’s so much to do in 4 hours but despite the sunburn it’s worth it ☀️ 🔥

we had to create some very gross looking bread for a couple of scenes. How did we do?
I love when we get the chance to experiment with practical special effects and props.

Craft and comic club ✏️🎨

Today we’ve been looking at character models, poses and just a little bit of weaponry ⚔️

Students posed for us with nerf guns and foam swords so we could begin to visualise what our super hero characters might look like in different situations 🦸‍♀️

My personal favourite was the He-Man style flaming sword pose. It looked EPIC!

Now it is after half term all the students have started making their own movies and they don’t have to listen to another one of Martin’s film making lessons! 👨‍🏫
