Takeaways:
Connectors on bottoms are out. Bikini bottoms must be made out of the fabric of the bikini, with no crystal connectors.
1/3 of the glutes must be covered. For a Miss C Bikini this means a Brazillian or moderate cut not a pro cut.

I ordered these really cool red diamante connectors ages ago and they have been waiting for the perfect lightening bolt of inspiration to strike. And last week strike it did!

I wanted to make a really unique bikini, that reflected aspects of the fit of a fitness bikini (and that super flattering scrunch bum) but with a burlesque twist. I even think that to finish this outfit I am going to team it up with some beaded fringe if the design evolves further. So much fun to just let those creative juices flow.

So this strappy burlesque inspired piece will be a one-off until I can get my hands on more of those diamante connectors.

Perfection is always a short reach away.
I still absolutely love the design of this bikini, but there are some things I see that I would like to change in hindsight.
As an artist/designer I am always striving to create the best possible designs to fit my client. Sometimes this means telling them when something that they have their heart set on isn't the right fit for them. Sometimes it's about tweaking the cut and style to make the best of their body, and sometimes it's about looking with a critical eye at work you have already done and figuring out how you would improve it and use that information next time.
Constant improvement, learning new things and integrating inspiration without plagiarism should be the aim of every designer.
