Been getting ready my Olympic team for The Athletics and Swimming, with some serious training. Think there looking in tip top condition here, serious medal contenders I THINK!
Great image looking west of Maderia Road around 1898.
My grandparents at the Goldstone in the 1920s right below the Barnsley Cup Tie sign, she was a great fan of Peter Ward and I always wished I could have taken her to see him play in the 1970s.
Brighton Motor Week 1905 outside the Old Ship Hotel, Kings Road. 120 years ago this was the new way of getting around if you could afford it. I,m sure the Policeman was not used to doing this sort of job directing traffic. Photographic postcard taken by A&G Taylor.
Lynton Troupe on the West Pier one of many entertainers/groups who performed on the West Pier in the early part of the last century This is around 1910 and you can see the old Bedford Hotel in the background.
Oh well another auction finished, postcards as usual went well and certain books. Some unsolds so if anyone see anything on my video worth checking
