Alishan National Forest, Taiwan 🇹🇼
Took a gruelling 17 mile hike up the mountains today to see the old train line hidden 2500m up in the mountains. It took around 9 and a half hours over all and I also sliced up my hands on some thorns on the way down.

What a year 2020 has been!

I trekked up Lapland to see the northern lights, started a podcast, had trips to Rwanda and the DR Congo cancelled, a plan to make a documentary in Syria also fell through and to top it all off half way through the year I had to cut all my hair off (and it looked like I’d just joined the Mexican Mafia).

But I’m living in Taiwan for the next 10 months and looking forward to what 2021 will bring!
Wishing all the best to my friends and family!!

4 years ago today me and a couple of my mates jumped on a £20 Ryanair flight to Timisoara in Romania and we made it there and back to the U.K. in less that 24 hours. It proved to be an eventful day with us being harassed by “not corrupt” policemen and getting locked in a hotel room which stunk of stale ci******es. Since then I’ve been travelling as much as I can for a cheap as I can and although it was crazy day I often think back on it as one of my favourite travel moments! When Corona virus is over take advantage of cheap flights and random destinations. They are a lot of fun!

A few more snaps of the Northern lights from my trip up to Lapland in January earlier this year. The people I was staying with said they hadn’t seen them in 2 weeks but the 2 days I was there they were out in full force. I must of done something right in a past life. Worth the 20hour journey and sub freezing temperatures.
