Jacaranda mimosifolia is a sub-tropical tree native to south-central South America that has been widely planted elsewhere because of its attractive and long-lasting violet-colored flowers. It is also known as the jacaranda, blue jacaranda, black poui, Nupur or fern tree. 

🌈Flauta Zampoña ( Pan Flutes)

In the key of G 

Made of Bamboo 🎍

The Zampoña is a pre-Columbian aerophone, comes from the Greek, siku, is of Aymara and Quechua origin. It consists of a series of reeds closed at their lower ends, tied together in the shape of a raft, which are blown vertically downward along the edges of the upper holes.

There are a huge number of variations and names according to the type and use that is given to them; There are one or two rows, with tubes in the form of a staircase, rectangular or in alternating staircase, for solo or collective use, with or without a bevel and with a great variety in the number of tubes.

The bark of the threes

A thousand shades of Hazel are caressing my tired eyes.

With summer behind and winter ahead,
In a safe warm nest
Neither joyful nor sad,
peaceful and grounded
Our roots will be fed,
In the orange bliss
That autumn threads.

And the smoke from the teas,
Soft cuddly clothes,
Happy tails on a leash,
New crafts for our paws,
Fresh lingering strenght
Floats free in the air,
Love gets more gentle
But still never fair.

The time of the copper,
The fire, the smoke
Pumpkins and duvets
Honest raw folk,
In the season of death,
Where the shadows walk by us,
To remind us
To connect with our breath.

We start to find pleasure
In pretty little things,
As leaves fall gently
We open our wings,
And in the company of our tribe,
Made of Queens and Kings,

I take it all in

In the nourishing silence

That autumn brings.

Here we have two ladies of the shop wearing a selection of our Navajo rings ☁️

Navajo (Dine) handmade silver jewellery with embedded turquoise and coral. Blue turquoise connects us to Father Sky and is a protective stone which reminds us of the beauty all around us. Red coral connects us to Mother Earth, a grounding a nurturing stone. 💙❤️

Out on our shop floor we have beautiful new Native American artefacts. Here you can see our dream catchers, bought directly from the artists at the Navajo reservation ☁️🌤

You hang them by your window or bed. The bad dreams are caught in the web and the prayer beads burn up. The good dreams hang off the feathers and evaporate to the Great Spirit in the morning sun ☀️💙

Our new window display to welcome in the winter season 🪶🔥🪶

Here on our shop floor come and see two displays of some of our Native American jewellery and pieces.

The first cabinet is Navajo (Diné). Statement pieces of turquoise are seen as the stone of Father Sky which represents connection with spirit, protection during travelling, and speaking from the heart. And coral which connects to the Mother Earth (Gaia), and so the combination of both brings balance.

Next we have the Zuni cabinet. They specialise in needle point, channeled inlay, and petti point. They generally make smaller pieces than the Navajo and create fine intricate work.
