You would be so proud of your granddaughters, Isla who’s turning 10 tomorrow and Stephen’s Amy she’s a wee chatty Patty. I feel sad not to have you here to see Isla reaching this age milestone, but I know you will be walking by her side. I feel very grateful to have had a dad like you, I smile everyday to everyone I see, as I wear your smile with pride, my smillie smile. Love you to infinity and beyond. I will toast your life with a glass of fizz and light a candle 🕯.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Treehouse Hotel London. Isla and I caught up with my bestie Mandy & her kids, it was special times as always. Big thanks to my homie & other bestie for sorting us out a room here. I highly recommend it, it’s fabulous hotel & very eco. 💚💚💚 can’t wait for my next trip.

It’s amazing how much better a beautiful bunch of flowers can make you feel. My immediate reaction was a big smile 😃 closely followed by floods of tears. My emotions are all over the place right now…. Even though I kept my ovaries after my Hysterectomy and my Consultant said that I wouldn’t go into the menopause…. but I would say I am peri-menopausal for sure! In the last 3 weeks I have been waking with night sweats and having lots of hot flushes in the day, my brain is scrambled! But to be honest these symptoms aren’t great but they have been superseded by chronic pain… 😩. Neuralgia in my mouth/jaw and awful shoulder pain… so really struggling physically and it’s really starting to let me down. I just feel like screaming.. after major abdominal surgery and now this! I just need a bloody break ffs!

So going back to my Hysterectomy story & these lovely flower, which were a gift from my lovely friend for doing a story on my Hysterectomy journey & having to self fund. I started a GoFundme page in July to try and raise funds to go private. So if you are interested in finding out more I am on The Politics Show today on BBC1(South East) today(Sunday). I wish to get the word out there to people who are suffering, in pain & desperate and on the NHS waiting list for an operation. There are good people out there that will help them fundraise to go private.
I feel very blessed and grateful that I was able to raise funds from a fundraising page. So I just want to say a big thank you again to my close family and friend who made this possible for me to have this life changing operation. Tune in now!

The last week was super intense, that’s for sure.

So many feelings, emotions, discomforts, sensations, pains, panics, doubts, questions…

But I am grateful, grateful for the support from my tribe, my family, my friends, my community, my surgeons, the nurses, all the other staff at the hospital who helped me.

You really know who your friends are in times of need and I have been bowled over by everyone’s love, support & generosity. I really feel held & supported and that is a beautiful thing ❤️…. Know that I would do the same for you.

This is my 6th day at home & the physical struggle hasn’t got any easier but I know that this is temporary & as lousy as I feel, it will pass. But when you are in it, your in it! I don’t feel like doing anything, I am so uncomfortable. Reading my Shuggie Bain book and fidgeting from seated to horizontal is about all I am good for right now. I can barely eat as the gas from the op comes back and is soooo painful. It’s feeling like Groundhog Day…. But am so grateful to have my lovely Mammy 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 here doing EVERYTHING for me, she’s one in a million ❤️💎
