This month’s show was an ABSOLUTE belter! Act photos to come, but this particular post is a love letter to our absolute madhead of an MC Eva Bindeman! 💖😍🥳

Jinxed may well start up a side-side-hustle of organising comedy birthday parties, if only to have this beauty scurrying around delivering cake, party bags and sparklers for the rest of my life ✨✨✨

Today’s the day! The sun is shining, it’s nearly Jinxed o’clock but most importantly: tonight we are celebrating a birthday!!!

Our awesome closing act tonight is Amy Mason and she has chosen to spend her special day with us! 🥳🤩

To mark the occasion we’ve got a bunch of lush acts, but it wouldn’t be a real birthday party without also adding balloons, party bags and cake! 🎈🎁🎂

Join us tonight at 8pm and have a laugh (at the very least so I don’t have to take a whole cake home to “share“ with my cats).

Sadly, tonight’s show has had to be cancelled.

No Jinxed this month, due to deadlines and birthdays and covid guilt...

Live comedy in Bristol (and everywhere) is in a time of great uncertainty due to the COVID-19 virus.

We’ve taken down the events calendar for now. So many events have been forced to cancel, and the idea of cramming lovely punters into intimate spaces just doesn’t seem the right thing to do for a while.

Comedy in Bristol is on hold, but Bristol Comedy―as a scene―continues. All the people and businesses that make this scene go are still here, and we’re all gonna need to watch out for each other in the months ahead.

Our hope is to be able to provide news and information and to stay in touch with the folks who make this scene so amazing. We’d like to show you ways you can help, as we’ll all need support to keep this vibrant scene alive over the challenging times ahead.

The seats are gonna miss your bums, but we’ll get them back together soon. For right now, let’s keep the scene healthy.

Last week was the first night of me running this gig, and in addition to an emergency meaning I couldn’t actually be there, I’m still getting my head around the teething problems that come with being head honcho.
I want to create a fully inclusive night, and it’s been brought to my attention that last week might not have been that, for which I wholeheartedly apologise. Going forward I’m going to be clearer with the acts that I book that these values are important to me.
If anyone ever feels this is not reflected in their experience, please do let me know either in person, or via this page.
