This celebration of woodland habitat and its wondrous flora and fauna opens on Friday 8th March. Come and enjoy this very special exhibition showcasing inspiring work by 10 celebrated visual artists and makers.

Join Nik Pollard, RCA, on this exciting introductory course in relief printmaking.

Relief printing is a traditional form of printmaking where the artist uses a roller to ink the surface of a block into which they have cut a
design. The block is then pressed onto paper - this can be done using a press or by hand burnishing.

This course will consist of demonstrations, group work and expert one-to-one tuition. Participants will learn how to create designs using card, lino and wood.

Crochet and Weaving with Eve Harker

In this fun and relaxed session, Eve will support participants to create a crochet bookmark to take home and provide an opportunity to collaborate in a big weave. Complete beginners as well as experienced crocheters are very welcome and all materials as well as refreshments will be provided.

We are going mushroom crazy this October! Join us for 'Fungarium' - a wonderful collection of mushroom and lichen inspired crochet, ceramics and paintings.

Trymwood Jays - nature-based workshops for home-schooling families.

Trymwood Jays meet twice a month at Trymwood Studios, BS9, for families who home-school. Each workshop is content-rich, engaging with the natural world using a cross-disciplinary approach. We sing, read beautiful literature and poetry, talk numbers and science as well as get creative with artist materials, all in our Westbury-on-Trym artist studio and beautiful gardens.

Fledglings - our weekly nature-based workshop for preschoolers and their carers.

Songs, stories, poetry, drama, early years maths and science as well as art-making, all with a weekly changing nature-theme.

This term we will be threading, painting, printing, collaging, 3d modelling and using clay in our gardens and meadowlands.

Drawing Nature for Well-being - autumn 2023!

Come and join us at Trymwood Studios and gardens for a weekly nature-based art workshop. All materials and refreshments provided and beginners very welcome.

This term we will be experimenting with charcoal, ink, watercolour, oils, felt-tips, fine liners, collage and graphite pencils as well as making our own drawing materials!
