Since last year The Living Womb Bristol has been running solely from our founder ; The Living Womb was seeded and birthed into reality through words with the wonderful and powerful creative .art and we are forever grateful for the inspiring and exciting conversations that took place to bring our gallery, event and wellbeing space to be ♥️

oppressive system we find ourselves living in.

We’ve got a busy year of Q***r Storytelling events scheduled, so you can see us at The Llandoger Trow on a quarterly basis. Get your low income/general sale tickets in my bio!

We’ve found funding a continued challenge (no-one wants to support Q***r artists, which is unsurprising) so all of your bought tickets and donations go into helping us pay Q***r creatives ♥️ 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍🌈

‘Q***r Storytelling with Evie Rey (& The Living Womb & Angharad Iris ) is organised, curated, and hosted by a grassroot team of creatives.

Q***r Storytelling (QST) is an intimate and immersive experience. Inspired by Celtic folklore and folk music, QST platforms Q***r people in a gently explosive way.

Expect to see the most magical of Q***r storytellers, telling tales proudly and diversely. Expect to hear music, see dancing, and transcend with spoken word. The event will be accompanied by an open mic (which we consider as the most organic forms of storytelling).

Refusing to be silenced, Evie Rey created QST as a space for expression and imprint. Unlike our oppressed Q***r ancestors, this space invites you to safely share your/our stories loudly.

MEET YOUR HOST

Evie Rey (they/she) is Q***r, Celtic folk storyteller. They strive to create art that openly celebrates and challenge’s identity.

Their exploration of identity delves into their own ancestry. Whilst focusing on their Celtic roots spanning Wales, Scotland and Ireland, they also look to combine this with their Q***r identity. Ancient Celtic traditions and Paganism are of continued inspiration to them.

We strive to curate a diverse and authentic atmosphere, inviting you to show up in both solidarity and integrity.

This space is inclusive for all people, prioritising and supporting Q***r and other marginalised creatives’.
