To bring it all together and for another year of one my favourite festivals ever.

Finally able to share the incredible two storey walnut staircase we worked on for 4 months last summer. This is one of 2 staircases we worked on with flight designs and was by far one of the most complex jobs we've ever completed. Blood, sweat, tears, and sleepless nights were not uncommon on this build, but the team worked tirelessly to get the job done and figure out how to make it work. There was no rule book for this job, and there was certainly no example to work from. Some trial and error and lots of head scratching, but we got there in the end.

Lots has changed since the simple workshop set up at Blaise Castle. From hanging shelves over Covid to earn a bit of cash, to crafting two storey luxury walnut stair cases in Manor house . I'm looking forward to getting back on the tools with the boys soon, watch this space for some exciting projects to come.

Wow, what can I say, It's been a journey!!!

Grain Bespoke started 3 years ago now as a way to get by during covid. With plenty of ups and downs and lessons learnt from mistakes, it grew into a ful time business. I couldn't have asked for a better team that we had formed by the end. A crew I will treasure for life!

This post is mostly to say a huge thank you to all the people who have supported me along the way. Honestly, I could not have done it without you.

The team has currently gone their separate ways to travel and explore, but I'm sure this isn't the end. Until then, though, we won't be trading in the UK for the foreseeable future, so we have decided to close the business!

For anyone that doesn't know, Dougie and I have been running Grain Bespoke as a team since January. I was nearly ready to pack the business in at one point but decided to give it one last push with Doogs.

We've pushed ourselves and the business in directions I didn't know possible. Going from luxury stair case to restaurant fit out in Grand Central to managing the bar at a wedding 🤣.

Our ying and yang dynamics work amazingly together, and I'm so proud of how far we've come over this year without a single disagreement, just pure good vibes and passion for work.

We are looking forward to sharing all the projects we've been working on over the summer that have been professionally photographed. We've been far too busy to keep up with Instagram posting, too 😅.

A huge, huge thank you also to all the people who have given us the opportunity to prove our worth this year.

This ones for the joinery nerds!

Designing the structure to come to a crisp mitre join both joist and hand rail meant some interesting notches had to be cut! Tapping these joists in was not only an extrememly satisfying job but also adds strength and longevity to the life of the structure.

Hand cut stair stringers that meet perfactly at the base of the first beam are another maticulous design feature that add to the beauty of this project.

Huge thanks to Isaac for all your skill and knowledge that helped bring this project to life.

It was the ultimate commendation being requested to return to Brighton to construct another balcony, we had given Reuben and Lizz balcony envy!

I'm extremely proud of Isaac and Liam for all their hard work on this build and seeing the design come together was an emotional achievement.

Full Sapele balcony and deck, built with beautiful joinery, no visible structural bolts and certainly no joist hangers. Attention to detail was a key feature in this build, from structural beams, to the mitre joined hand rail.

Our biggest project yet was an outstanding success, well done team!

What an amazing response to the van, we're glad you like her as much as we do!

On display is our reclaimed Oak door, Elm worktop and upstand from English Woodlands timber, and Locally sourced yew tree coat hanger. This selection of hardwoods compliments the van's bold colours and characteristics. With copper and brass features working harmoniously throughout, adding a shot of elegance.

Welcome to the van! This off grid Luton Van conversion is one of my favourite jobs ever. It's a completely off grid living solution with all the space in the world, hidden storage, water and electricity and more!

Building the mezzanine bed over the cab means you can have a full size king size bed and barely lose any space for the build. We were going to hire her out but she's just too precious!

Adding the finishing touches to Alex (TheAjam’s) Van. Looking forward to handing this over to be painted and seeing the final product.

We managed to salvage the stained glass windows from the old build and refurbish and fit them, such a cool feature.

This van also has an impressive solar set up which gives off grid capabilities. Meaning you can park up anywhere and get the decks out, looking forward to experiencing it in action!
