Please welcome Harry! 🤗 🎉 A great bike mechanic and all round brilliant guy who is helping us to be able to open a few more days in the week! It was Bright Bikes Mama T's birthday so we decided to have a little gathering of friends and a boogie, which well and truly 'warmed' the new space and filled it with a lot of love! 💖 It was so much fun and has inspired us to consider hosting some social events with you all in the future..! 🚴‍♀️🥳🚴

It was so brilliant to open our doors at our new location and meet lots of you once again this weekend! These happy boys on bikes made our day! 🚴‍♀️😀🚴‍♂️

We've been busy setting up the new Bright Bikes workshop in these days and are super excited for the next chapter of things! Still lots to do, but we're looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow for our first day opening in what feels like ages! 🚴‍♂️😃🚴‍♀️

We have the keys to our new premises at last and have been busy setting up to be able to open (in a basic way) for half term this Saturday! 😅

Hello to you all and apologies for going a bit quiet this last month or so!

We wanted to share with you that although we had the best of intentions to meet demand at the premises in Blaise, for various reasons it became clear that this location was not going to ultimately serve the vision for Bright Bikes (despite enjoying some fun in the sun while we were there!)

There are some things that we now realise we don’t want to compromise on. These being:

🚴 Enough indoor space to be able to display a full range of kids bikes, so that you can be sure we’ll always have a few options for you to try, whatever the weather!

🚴‍♀️ Safe space for your little ones to be able to try wobbling about on their bikes, as well as enough space nearby where bigger kids can try out their bikes too

🚴‍♂️ Easy parking options

🚴 Located in a more central location

🚴‍♀️ A big enough workshop so that we can offer space for you to relax, have a chat and really enjoy the experience as a family!

We’ve been busy finding a unit to suit us much better and are excited to say that we’ve got it! We will be getting the keys this week and will do our best to reopen in some form for half-term, hoping that the new space will tick all the boxes!

I’m sure many of you will understand how it can feel daunting to step up and take risks with businesses (especially as a new family), but we are passionate about the service we are providing and do not want to settle for less than what we had to offer you at Fishponds!

Thanks for bearing with us as we adjust to all the new changes after leaving our Fishponds premises and get set up to serve you in finding the Easter bikes you and your littleuns are after.

We now have a small workshop in the beautiful Blaise Castle Estate as well as lots of bikes available for collection from our storage space in more central Bristol BS6.

If you’re looking for a kids bike we can definitely help, so feel free to be in touch to let us know what you’re after and hopefully we’ll have something that can suit your needs.

We’re currently not able to have have customers show up unannounced, but you are very welcome to make an appointment with us to try the best options for you.

We wanted to share exciting news of the next new chapter for Bright Bikes...

After much searching over the past months we have at last found a new premises that we will be trialling for the summer! We think you’re going to love it! 😀

So there’s now only tomorrow (Saturday) and next Friday/Saturday left to come see us at the current home of 79a Grove Road, before we will have to move out when the site is being developed.

Whilst there is sadness about having to leave the uniquely quirky workshop and yard in which we have met so many of you, had so much fun, and helped countless kids and families find new rides; there is also much excitement at moving to a perhaps even more brilliant location! (more to follow soon)

We are hugely grateful to you all for your continued support and also want to extend a big thanks to Bristol Upcycles, without whom none of our journey so far would have been possible.🙏We are hopeful that we will be teaming up again soon!🤞

Whilst we will be taking a pause from our regular sales for the early weeks of March, to set up in the new space, we plan to be back running sales within a few weeks. In the mean time we are still local and available to help source and provide a range of bikes via individual sales if you really can’t wait, so feel free to be in touch and we’ll let you know how we can help.
