Best of 3. 🛌

Inside this gorgeous Georgian home, I wanted to make sure that each bedroom had a unique atmosphere and theme.

Using different colour schemes, artworks, furniture, and decor, I gave each bedroom its own identity.

Here's a collection of some of the art I’ve recently chosen using my artist and gallery contacts. I’m a big believer that art should be an integral part of any new decorative scheme. It can transform a space and add that all-important finishing touch to a room. Studies show that art can even positively benefit our mood and inspire creativity. However, choosing the right art for your home can be a challenge. Art is a form of expression – resonating with you and reflecting your interests and passions. If you need a hand with the sourcing process, get in touch to learn more about my art curation service.

Love modern Scandinavian design? But how do you make it work in your period home? Here’s a quick guide. ✨ Scandinavian design was born from a desire to move away from the past and look to the future. The design world has long since revelled in the minimalist principles of the style. Our love of this style continues today with reproductions of past classics, as well as new designers and producers of the style. Picture perfect: How to choose the right art for your home. From complementing our interior design to expressing our interests and even setting the overall mood, the art we choose to curate our walls and decorate our homes can have a lasting impression. But how do you decide between: 🖌A Matisse and a Monet? 🎨Or a Hepworth and a Gormly? MASTER BEDROOM SUITE Case Study The Film Version My scheme incorporated a rich, dark blue palette paired with soft grey and burnt orange accents. Working with the room’s scale, a super king black oak four-poster bed takes centre stage, adding an elegant focal point. Warm, oak minimalist cabinets with black steel frames complement the bed and natural timber flooring. Brass fixtures and fittings were replaced with further black elements for a more modern look and to add contrast. Sphere-shaped contemporary ceiling-hung Muuto lights create the perfect bedside glow. I introduced heavy geometric patterned weave curtains with contemporary wave headings and matching cushions, adding texture. A Nordic Knots thick pile carpet was chosen for its luxurious feel. A large swivel lounge chair with a reading light offers a place to unwind with a book or enjoy the view from the large windows. The room is finished with carefully selected accessories, including hotel-quality bedding, art, objects, and plants. The dressing room seamlessly extends the design language, incorporating a geometric rug, leather and black metal bench, a soft floor lamp, a full-length floor-standing mirror and quirky Penguin book-inspired art for a touch of personality. In the bathroom, a rich marine blue (replacing pink), along with a contemporary screen print and three-dimensional glass and timber wall art, completes the modern, luxurious feel. Bar project This room was empty when my client moved into his home. After toying with a few ideas we settled on a bar. My vision for this room was luxurious and a bit glitzy. Somewhere to entertain in the evening, but also somewhere to have a coffee in the morning. My rich colour scheme teamed with touches of brass creates a moody luxury feel. The bespoke bar is finished in Farrow & Ball Railings, teamed with a dark grey worktop and integrated bottle shelf. I designed a bespoke banquette and matching pouffes in velvet for a plush feel. Lighting moods can be set with independently dimmable LED lights in the bar shelving, Tom Dixon pendants, and Heal’s wall lights. The oak slat wall panelling adds some texture and contrast and complements the oak floor. Two fridges allow for plenty of chilled drinks and there’s a pull-out bin, drawers and cupboards for bar equipment. My client has already enjoyed a few get-togethers. I’m told it’s the place where guests want to spend most time! . . . #barinspo #barinspiration #homebar #homebardesign #bristolinteriors #bristolinteriordesigner #interiordesignerbristol #contemporaryinteriors #moderninteriors #drinkup #openlate #designmyhome #homejoinery #homesocial #partyspace #bristollife

DINING ROOM Case Study When my client moved into this house, after carefully considering every space, we decided not to change any décor in this room and work with it and the bold Cole & Son wallpaper mural. I chose materials and colours to complement the existing decoration and finishes and added strong blacks for definition and contrast. I’ve used simple, elegant Modernist-style furniture to complement the ornate Georgian features, with a centrepiece classic Knoll Tulip table (Designed by Eero Saarinen, in 1957), and six supremely comfortable Hay swivel dining chairs. The high ceilings are perfect for the Nuura ceiling chandelier, which I configured on-site with a gentle random hanging pattern. Services for this room: • Room concept, design and visualisation • Space planning • Furniture procurement • Accessories sourcing • Art curation • Curtains • Installation and final styling Contact me to discuss your next project. @knoll @Haydesign @ethnicraft @designersguild @nuuralighting @liniedesign @tomrossau @ittala @thewhitecompany @hmhome @polspotten @francescaverardoceramics @heals_furniture #bristolinteriors #bristolinteriordesigner #diningroom #diningroominspiration #moderngeorgianhome #interiordesignideas #designmyhome #bristollife #cliftonlife #cliftonliving #contemporaryhomes #stylishhomes #homedecor #interiorstyling #southwestinteriors #luxuryinteriors #designerinteriors
