It's Week Two of our receptionist team introductions! This week, say hello to Caroline!
Caroline has been working at CWH for 25 years, and typically works on Mondays and Thursdays. She is also our current administrator. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in nature and has a strong focus in taking part in environmental activism. 🌍
The receptionists take turns to take care of our welcoming room, helping to make appointments, take payments and offer a friendly face when you enter the building.
We want to highlight some more of the various therapies we offer at the centre - next up - Counselling/Psychotherapy!
Counselling can help you cope with:
⚫A mental health condition, such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder
⚫A difficult life event, such as a bereavement, a relationship breakdown or work-related stress
⚫Difficult emotions – for example, low self-esteem or anger
⚫Many other issues, such as sexual identity
At your appointment, you’ll be encouraged to talk about your feelings and emotions with a trained therapist, who’ll listen and support you without judging or criticising.
All counsellors at the Centre for Whole Health are Accredited Members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
We have multiple Counsellors/Psychotherapists available throughout the work week at the centre and are confident you'll connect with one of them. Check out the list of them below👇

In this bright and eclectic corner of our reception room, you can find a spot for children to play and explore, as well as our Tibet Group shelf, where you can find small gifts and treasures with all proceeds going to Tibet relief funds.
Sarah, our Tibet Group contact regularly drops off lovely new hand-made shawls, jewellery, incense and postcards.
For the toy area, we have a rocking horse, very nostalgic teapot and several boxes full of toys for kids of all ages to enjoy while they wait.
Over the next four weeks, we'd like to introduce you to our receptionist team!
Some of our receptionists have been working here for a few decades, and are thoroughly a part of the fabric that make up the CWH. First up, we have Kathy!
Kathy has worked at CWH for 20 years now, on reception and also as our cleaner. She is to thank for keeping our treatment rooms and shared spaces taken care of. She typically works Tuesdays and Wednesdays and has a deep spiritual practice outside of the centre. She also absolutely adores cats!🐱
The receptionists take turns to take care of our welcoming room, helping to make appointments, take payments and offer a friendly face when you enter the building.
At Centre for Whole Health we're really proud to be working just below Lam Rim Buddhist Centre - we've been interconnected since our opening, and Lam Rim have been using this building for their spiritual practices since 1988!
Each week there are at least three meditation sessions held on our top floor; Mondays at 7:30pm a basic, guided meditation, Wednesdays at 7:30pm a silent sitting meditation for those with a little more practice, and on Thursdays at 7:30pm an introduction to Lam Rim - a path of meditations or reflections.
These sessions are currently halted for summer but will return week beginning the 1st of September.
