'Three Brothers No Porkies!' Our story............
Once upon a time there were three brothers. A rugby player, a ship broker and a cabinet maker.
The three brothers loved eating meat, especially pork and would continually talk about food, have great food competitions and even fight over food. One day they were having a heated debate about their favourite roast pork and sausages yet none could agree on the best. The debate became so tense they decided to solve the problem by creating their own porky delights which would one day become the best and most delicious in the whole land and BOOM, the Jolly Hog was born.

Another week, another epic team lunch, this time on the BBQ 🔥
It's been a scorcher of a week so Alice & Matt cooked up their team lunch on the Kamado for us all. Creating a bit of a spin on a classic BBQ, they made pork patties made with our Proper Porker British Sausages, combined with a tasty blend of ginger, garlic and chilli. King of pickles, Matt, was back at it again with some home pickled carrots.

Smash tacos but make them pork 🤤
whipped up this simple but scrumptious Summery recipe, using our Proper Porker British Sausages. Ideal for lunch, dinner, or a shake up to your weekend brunches!
Ingredients (makes 6-8)
1 pack (6 sausages) Proper Porkers by
6-8 soft taco shells or small wraps
Avocado salsa:
1 avocado - diced
4 vine tomatoes - diced
1 green chilli - finely diced
1/2 white onion - finely diced
10g coriander - roughly chopped
1 lime juiced
3 tbsp olive oil
Sriracha mayo for garnish
Method:
For the tacos, remove all the sausage meat from their casings into a bowl. Wet your hands and form balls the size of ping pong balls.
Mix together your salsa ingredients and set aside.
Get a pan on the heat. Take a taco in your hand, place a ball of sausage meat on top then upturn it into the pan (sausage side down). Get a heavy bottomed pan and smash it down to flatten. Leave to cook until golden brown then flip.
Repeat.
Spoon the salsa onto each taco followed by sriracha mayo or any sauce of your choice and enjoy!

A brewery was the latest addition to all of the weird and wonderful places we've had a meeting in recently (past venues included rugby pitches, cafes, coffee roasters and farms) 🍻
We took the team down to Wiper and True for a tour around the stunning and impressive brewery. These guys are just as passionate about their beer as we are about our food, something obvious in the special processes they've put into place around the brewery, the attention to detail in their ingredients and methods, and even the amazing sustainability projects they're working on (including carbon dioxide capture & solar powered brewing!)

We hit up London with a ‘Press for Bacon’ button yesterday. Did you spot us?
We wanted to spread a bit of jolliness and give commuters that much-needed brain boost from a bacon sarnie before work (no seriously, the smell of bacon can cause a dopamine rush, it’s scientifically proven!)
We spread the love across London with some warm bacon sarnies using our award winning, high welfare bacon - hand delivered by Olly, Max, and Pete on a bike! Because no one can resist the smell of bacon - especially ours - we pumped out the aroma from our bus stop signs, filling London with its mouth watering smell.
It’d be cruel to tease people with just the smell though - and because we’re all about spreading the jolliness and sharing top notch food - we treated hundreds of commuters to bacon sarnies on the house!

Look guys, we’re on billboards again! 🤯 For the first time EVER, we've gone national! We can’t explain how excited we are about this.
Around England and Wales, you’ll be able to spot our bacon and sausages on bus stop signs, billboards and train stations. We’re big on treating yourself to the special stuff, for those times that you get together with your loved ones and have a jolly good feed! So of course that’s what we had to make our campaign about. We had a blast last week going back to our roots, with The Stoop being the first ever place we sold our sausages!
We had the privilege of joining the Harlequins in one of their training sessions and squad meetings, and had an amazing talk from CEO Laurie on the business of rugby, and Andy on how thing's are run!
It's crazy to see how far we've come from Olly's time back on the Quins squad, to selling sausages in the car park with our whole family, to visiting the stadium with our team of 17! Mind blowing stuff.
