Our stores are now closed. Our team is done. The tills cashed up and the lights switched off.

I shall be doing an open morning for shop fittings on TUESDAY 29th from 9am.

Well bloody hell. You lot wiped us out emotionally and out of stock!

We’re down to the last few bits. Park St will be open tomorrow until about 1, Sparks will be open until 5.

Some last few plants, gifts, crates and stands etc to sell off.

If you haven’t seen, we’re doing a massive sale to shift as much stock as possible before closing. Literally everything is for sale!

I will hold an open morning for shop fittings and the like soon, date to follow. We’ve some gorgeous shop fittings that I would love to see go to good homes.

Thank you for the overwhelming response to our post. The love we feel as a team, the incredibly positive response has been so emotional. We wanted to always be a loving, safe space, we didn’t really know how far this had gone.

As far as goodbyes go, you’re all really pushing the boat out here.

I can't believe im writing this. MILA Plants is closing.

This photo was taken at my first-ever market. Three years ago nearly to the day. I'm holding my baby, about to embark on the maddest three years of my life. I created a beautiful business that became something so special.

But the last three years have been anything but easy. You've no doubt seen that the indie business scene/highstreet is hemorrhaging businesses at the moment. In Bristol we have seen some incredible players lost. It's s**t, it really is.

I've battled for months. I haven't slept. I haven't paid myself. Instead, I've dealt with energy companies hiking their prices, shopping centers making empty promises, and ever-rising costs across the board. And I've battled on because of the people within my business both staff and customers. My team are the most wonderful people you could ever hope to meet.

Jasper, MILA wouldn't be what it is without you. You've been with me since day one, Mila adores you, you're family and I will never be able to show you how much I love and value you. I know you will continue to bring people joy and love in whatever you do.

More information will come in the next few days and we are open until we aren't. Come and grab a bargain, say goodbye and wish us luck.

For now, it's so long, and goodbye. Who knows what the future may hold, but it'll be q***r af!

This week on plants 101 we have the Alocasia Silver Dragon 🐉 a little harder to come by but absolutely STUNNING. Boasting silvery leaves with dark green veins, this plant will look gorgeous in a dark pot to highlight the grey foliage.

Just a smidgen, a sneak preview, a peep of what we’ve had delivered into Park Street this week. LOADS of plants filling our shelves and making us panic about where to fit it all. Big delivery day yumminess - MASSIVE Peace Lillies only £16.99, gorgeous Fishbone Cacti in regular and hanging pots, and Arabica plants at £9 a pop!

💚 In praise of Pothos… 💚
These plants are often one you’ll be recommended by our staff. They’re great for beginners, suit many different environments, and grow like mad! They also come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours to suit your personal taste. Water these guys as the soil begins to dry out (but for the forgetful plant parents, they’re drought tolerant!), stick them out of full sun, and you’ll be able to enjoy the gorgeousness year-round. Up on a moss pole or trailing, Pothos is a crowd-pleaser plant and one we’ll always have on our shelves.

This week we’re showcasing the gorgeous String of Pearls. A popular but sometimes challenging plant, these ones require deliberate bottom-watering and nice bright light. A good care regime will reward you with a healthy lush plant and beautifully scented flowers.
