We have Rob Ayling's short Living in Crime Alley - A Batman Fan Film, which has won lots of acclaim and festival awards. Sarah Mallabar's fantasy drama Dr. Sugarloaf and James Peaty's Testimony.

CineMe Shorts takes place on Monday, September 21st (19:30pm), at Totos By The River Bristol.

Scorsese Shorts 28/04/2020

This is a must for any serious film collector!

The Criterion Collection have released a compilation of early short films made by director Martin Scorsese.

This collection of shorts is available on DVD and Blu-Ray and is released on May 26th.

The set is called Scorsese Shorts and includes five shorts made in New York in the 1960s and 70s. The films included are: Italianamerican, American Boy, The Big Shave, What’s a Nice Girl Like You Doing in a Place Like This? and finally, It’s Not Just You, Murray!

I came across this Guardian film article this morning, which I thought I would share. The article is entitled “Neverending Stories” and recommends five epic films during the lockdown period.

The Mandalorian – Official Trailer 2 | Disney+ | Streaming Nov. 12 28/03/2020

I wasn’t a huge fan of the recent Disney Star Wars Trilogy and had reservations about this new series.

Creator Jon Favreau has done a very fine job creating The Mandalorian, which is now streaming on Disney+.

Each episode is 30 minutes duration and looks at a lone bounty hunter travelling the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic.

This image was posted on a Stanley Kubrick Appreciation Group and includes the opening credit titles of all his films made under his collaboration with Warner Brothers.

From Lo**ta to his final work Eyes Wide Shut - This is a really impressive CV and certainly confirms Kubrick as one of America’s most gifted filmmakers.

2001: A Space Odyssey and Barry Lyndon are my favourites, but I am also a huge admirer of A Clockwork Orange.
