A recent damp proofing project undertaken by B&D Plastering 💪🏻 we hacked off the damp affected render before installing a chemical DPC and re-rendering in sand and cement with a cement based tanking slurry incorporated. ⭐ Water damaged ceiling sorted!! ⭐😎💪🏻 It turned out that a substantial amount of this ceiling had been damaged by an over-spilled bath - so we removed the damaged plasterboard and replaced with new, and then plastered the entire ceiling, leaving a smooth finish ready for decoration. Hello, hoping everyone is keeping well in these strange and uncertain times. We had a 2 month break due to the lockdown and fortunately managed to re-book jobs back in from before the lockdown. This was a recent damp proofing job completed by us with a chemical damp proof course, and tanking installed before rendering and then plastering. Rising damp issue in a property where we hacked off the affected render back to the brick face. We then installed a chemical DPC (damp proof course), before rendering the walls with sand and cement with a water-proofer additive. In between coats we applied a cement based "tanking" slurry as an extra precaution, before applying another top coat of sand and cement. Finally we plastered leaving a flat and smooth finish ready for decoration. A return visit for a lovely regular customer completely transforming this large bedroom! 👌🏻 There was some damp on the external wall so we hacked it off back to the brick and rendered with sand and cement before plastering. This was an interesting conversion project taken on by B&D! 💪🏻 Plasterboarding was done by the client, who wanted the loft ceiling curved. We formed the curve using "Bonding 60" before applying PVA and plastering. Customer was over the moon with the results! 😎
