14 years ago I made the easiest decision of my life....to become Self Employed.
Back then I was working for a salon in Thornbury, for minimum wage as senior therapist. I barely got by with only tips and bits of work on the side. After a pau rise of 2p an hour for 3 years of hard work…I thought to myself, "I'm sure I can make more money going alone!" After a discussion with Keith and his support I did just that!
Tuesday 31st August 2010 I opened CLG Beauty within a Hairdresser Salon in Brentry. On my first day I made £29. The first month I took £420....this was going to be harder than I thought!!
I got a part time job in McDonald's, I was working 60+ hours a week just to pay the bills. I did this for 4 years!
But after lots of hard work blood, sweat, tears and a lot of promotion plus the most amazing clients who recommended, shared, promoted and supported me, I was able to quit McDonald's and work full time with a fully booked column most days.
Cut to 10 years later, I work from my home with a successful business and fully booked 6 weeks in advance!
I am so grateful for everything and everyone who has been there for me. Even the ones who I no longer see for one reason or another. You guys made it happen! I still can't believe how lucky I am and thank you for keeping me busy, fed, and a roof over my head.
I love you guys❤️❤️❤️
