As we reach holiday season I’ve had to make the decision to temporarily close my diary to new clients to ensure enough appointment’s are available for existing clients .. I’m receiving alot of pms along the lines of ‘I’m trying to book but it won’t let me’.
The app is not down, if you can’t book it’s because I’m fully booked.. the diary will allow you to book 8 weeks in advance, please book in advance! Forever greatful for all your business, thank you for keeping me so busy! 💋

Why is my blonde turning yellow? ⬇️

This is probably the most common thing my blonde gals ask me on appointments. There could be a few reasons why your blonde is turning yellow fast:

1. Your water is too hard. This will not only affect the colour but the health of your hair too. Hard water dries out the hair and leave mineral deposits that can cause scalp itchiness. You can fix this with getting a filtered shower head.

2. You’re washing your hair in really hot water this will cause the toner to fade and expose the underlying pigments. Want to preserve your cool toner? Turn that heat down!

3. You’re not using salon quality shampoo, conditioner & styling products. I’ve said it time and time before your spending money on your colour you need to be using quality products after to maintain it. Supermarket and chemist bought products are a no go 🙅‍♀️ think of it as an insurance on your investment.

4. Your hot tools are set to high whilst styling. Heat disrupts colour, the more heat you use, the more your toner will fade, the more your yellow will come through. Use that heat protection!

So in a nut shell hot showers, supermarket shampoo & slacking with your aftercare products nothing unusual, right?THIS is a very common combo - is this you? That’s why you’re yellowing..
I was guilty of this for YEARS! make that change 🤍

The importance of a regular trim:

With regular hair cuts you can maintain a healthier thicker looking hair, while a regular trim doesn’t actually ‘make your hair grow’ it will prevent breakages and stop split ends travelling further up the hair shaft. Hair growth comes from the root - stimulating the root and using hydrating hair foods will encourage natural hair growth - holding on to damaged ends will ultimately make your hair look worse! If you cut those wispy ends off, you'll actually be left with the appearance of thicker, longer hair.
