Hello dancers! I’m the male participation officer for the year and I’m in my second year studying physics and computing with Russian.
Thanks to all the high quality workshops offered by the society, it was easy to try plenty of new styles and perform my first ballet with the society, starting with no experience last year. You can expect to see me trying out more Jazz or Lyrical this year too. Do give the one-off workshops or taster sessions a go and see what you think, I don’t regret it; also do ask me any questions at [email protected] or and I’ll be happy to answer.

Big Dance Love,
Dylan (he/him)

Hiya loves! 💓 I’m Izzy (she/her) and I’m your delicious sponsorship officer for this year! I am going into my second year studying law (help) and cannot wait to meet all the new lovely faces of dance society!

I’ve been dancing since being able to point/sickle my foot 🩰and have been trained in styles across the board although, you’re far more likely to find me in street/commercial classes. That said, I continue to grasp onto the jazz in me and was lucky enough to compete in both styles at comps earlier this year!

As your sponsorship officer, my primary aim is to raise money so that we can keep the society as affordable as possible! This year we’re hoping to create a long-term relationship with a company and I look forward to (hopefully) helping the society move towards this! 😋

I’m here to help and so if anyone’s having those first week jitters or want any question poorly answered PLS don’t hesitate to email - [email protected] or DM me -

this year will be my second year studying biology, i have now been dancing for 17 years (!!) and i can be found doing mostly tap, jazz and lyrical - i was lucky enough to be part of the comp teams for these styles last year! (i am also sometimes spotted trying the scarier style of commercial 🫣)

dance soc was one of the best parts of my first year at bristol, and ella and i have some fun (and slightly crazy) socials planned to help you all feel the same way, whatever year you’re in 🕺

i never stop talking so if there are any worries/questions about socials or you just want a chat, please reach out to me at [email protected] or xx

Hey everyone!!! I’m Morgan (she/her) and I’m honoured to be returning as one of your publicity reps for the third year!🤩

I’ve just graduated from my Liberal Arts BA, and I’m returning to Bristol this September for a History MA (just can’t help myself). I, like many dancers started out in tap and jazz, but quickly transitioned to hip hop and street styles. House, hip hop and commercial are still my main bags, but I’m up for trying anything and I’ve enjoyed branching into lyrical contemporary at uni!

I’m super excited for this year with my co-rep Ella, expect us to be your biggest hype women, to bless your For You Pages with dance Tik Toks (follow us btw) and to always catch the best angles of you in class videos. If you have any questions, or brilliant social media ideas, message me 🍒

I’m going into my second year of maths and it’s my first year on the committee. My role is being the main communication link between the society and our WONDERFUL teachers.
My favourite dance styles are contemporary and commercial (certified twerk enthusiast), but last year I tried my hand at hip-hop and can’t wait to keep trying more new things!

Hiyaaaa dancers!!!! I’m Annie (she/her) and I’m so so SOOO excited to be joining the committee as one of your show reps🫶 I’m going into 2nd year of Politics & International Relations and I was on the hip hop and wildcard teams last year🕺
I’ve been dancing since I was 3 in all styles under the sun that I could find the time to try - mainly contemporary, jazz, commercial and hip hop! Safe to say since uni I’ve become a full time hip hop & heels convert (rip my younger self’s technique 🩰) so you might catch me in class this year trying to return to my roots :)
I can’t wait to get back into the studio, put on the best show that Bristol has EVER seen for our old and new faces of dance soc and do it allll over again. Hope to see you all on stage next year 🥰 I promise, this WON’T be one to miss!!!

Heyyy dancers!!! I’m Juliet (she/her) and I’m going to be your new secretary for this year 🕺🏼🕺🏼 After spending the past year living in Seville, Spain 💃🏼 (where I unfortunately picked up very limited flamenco skills), I’m thrilled to be back in Bristol to start my 4th year of International Business Management and Spanish and my first year on committee! My main style is contemporary, however I’ve also enjoyed testing the waters of commercial and jazz since starting uni, so you’ll probably find me in a variety of different classes throughout the year. There’s been a dance soc-shaped hole in my heart over this past year so I’m super excited to reunite with some old faces and greet all the new faces come September! As secretary I’m your girl for
answering emails and dms, so please don’t hesitate to send me any and all dying questions you may have to my insta () or email ([email protected]). See you all very soon! 🌟🌟

I love a bit of everything but you will mostly find me in lyrical, ballet and jazz🕺🏼 I am so looking forward to everything we have planned this year and I encourage everyone to come and get involved - it’s gonna be a good one !!! I can’t wait to see old and new faces and spend the year boogying with all you♥️ please get in touch with anything by [email protected] or I’m always here if you have any concerns or questions at all :) keep dancing and see you all in september🌟🌟🌟

We have so much exciting stuff planned and I cannot wait to boogie with you all in classes (and in the club😎)!! To anyone interested in joining, there is so much to get involved in and in my humble opinion dance is the absolute best part of uni, so I hope to meet you all soon❤️

These workshops are for all-levels and a great way of taking a well-deserved break from your studies and getting back into the beloved studio! 🕺🏻But if we do not get to see you, we hope you have loved dancing with us this term as much as we have and we wish you all the best in your assessments and exams. You will all smash it!!!! 💫🩵

The workshop will include learning sections from 2 iconic dances as well as an industry Q&A at the end. Trust us, you want to be in the room where it happens (Studio 1, SEH)!!🪩

Don’t throw away your shot and buy a ticket online - there will be no opportunity to pay at the door. Tickets can be found by searching ‘Hamilton Dance’ into the SU search bar, or follow the link on our linktree! Deadline to buy is the Saturday before the workshop.🕜

Take a break from your studies and join in for some non-stop fun. We are SO excited and cannot wait to see you all there to blow us all away with your moves!🕺🏼

We are so happy to announce that our recent show ‘ICONS’ raised a record breaking £1,429.67 for both Flamingo Chicks and Bristol Mind💫. A huge thank you to all of our amazing dancers that took part, without you this couldn’t have happened!! This money means so much to both charities, so you should all be super proud of yourselves for helping to donate to such amazing causes! 🤍

Hi Dancers!

April is an opportunity to target taboos surrounding Autism with Autism Acceptance and Awareness month!
People with Autism are too often discriminated against across all sectors of society. This may be in employment, education and even health and social care.

The Dance World can be equally challenging.

This April we wanted to take the opportunity to highlight Autism Acceptance and Awareness Month by spotlighting some Dancers who are breaking down barriers!

Hi lovely dancers,

Wishing you all the best of luck with exam season approaching, you will all smash it! If you fancy a study break (or celebration if you finish early!) we have an exciting opportunity to get involved with!

Flamingo Chicks, a local charity that provides dance classes for disabled and seriously ill children, that you all raised an amazing amount for during the show, are celebrating their 10th birthday! To celebrate they are holding a 24 hour dance relay on 17th-18th May and would love you to get involved!

Each hour for 24 hours there will be a different dance related session including a disco, fancy dress dance, intergenerational tea dance with grandparents and more. A very wholesome celebration! Here’s some ways you can be involved:
- Welcoming dancers and guests
- Face painting
- Decorating the venue
- Joining in and supporting the children and fundraising
- Flamingo Chicks would LOVE to have some dance so members help run a session (if you want some ideas send me a message!)

This will be such a wonderful event and chance to support the local community. Check Milly’s recent weekly email for details on times and location! If you fancy joining me or have any questions, send us an email, DM or send me an email ([email protected]).

Big dance love,
Megan xx
