Alberto in Tait’s Year 5, managed to recite an astounding 340 digits of pi this week 😳 A girl in year 6 at a nearby school managed 300 digits last year which prompted Alberto to give it a go after he won the school pi competition earlier in the year. For winning the school competition Alberto was given the opportunity to literally pie Mr Walton with a loaded cream pastry for reciting nearly 150 digits to the entertainment of his fellow pupils 🥧 However he didn’t stop at 150 and learnt almost 200 more digits in just a couple of months, with Dr Greene on hand to adjudicate. Alberto also attempted the most digits of pi in one minute, reaching 268 (featured). A fun challenge and an incredible achievement - congratulations Alberto 👏👏👏

Exciting update from the Chellaram Sports Complex at Beggars’ Bush! Stage one of the construction is now complete, marked by the deflation of the existing indoor sports dome. We’re thrilled to embark on this journey towards opening the doors to not only the College, but also other schools and local community groups in time for the beginning of the academic year in 2024. Beggars’ Bush has undergone extensive improvement in recent years, however this new superb Sports Centre is the most significant improvement since the Old Cliftonian’s generously joined forces to purchase the site in time for the College’s jubilee in 1912. The new indoor sports complex will include enhanced sports and changing facilities. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the grand opening…

We’re still reminiscing about our House Dance final this year🕺 What a night! A huge well done to all pupils that took part and congratulations to Hallward’s in 3rd place, Oakeley’s in 2nd place and Watson’s who received the winning vote from our professional dancer guest judge. It was an amazing evening, and an excellent way to celebrate dance and performance, supported by the whole school community 🤩
