Are you ready for the return of The Great British Sewing Bee? Starts Tuesday 21st May, 9pm, BBC One.

Using vintage patterns can sometimes be challenging as they usually don’t have much in the way of instructions. They were made in the time when most women were home sewers and had help at hand via another family member or friend.
However if you often find you forget to look at instructions and end up doing patterns your own way, they are really fun and a budget way to create a wardrobe!
This was a fun make which I ended hand sewing quite allot as I adjusted the gathers a few times.
We have a box of vintage patterns that we sell for £3 and it’s always worth a look.
