Scarification, top dressing, and overseeding are essential practices for maintaining a healthy and vibrant lawn. Scarification helps to remove thatch and moss, allowing the grass to breathe and absorb nutrients more effectively. Top dressing provides additional nutrients and improves soil structure, promoting healthy root growth. Overseeding helps to fill in bare patches, improve density, and enhance the overall appearance of the lawn. Together, these practices contribute to a lush, green lawn that is more resilient to pests, diseases, and environmental stressors.

Dig and divide.
Today we reduced down the crocosmia in the back borders to make room for some penstemon that our client had grown from cuttings.
This also allowed us to use the crocosmia to fill a few gaps in the large slope bed in the garden.
