The Redgrave Theatre

One of Bristol’s leading theatres showcasing a variety of family shows, comedy, and live music.

The Redgrave is a 323 seat procenium arch theatre owned by Clifton College. It was built in the 60's and was orginally known as the Clifton College theatre, it was renamed 'The Redgrave' after the actor Sir Michael Redgrave an ex-pupil of the College. The theatre is still used for college plays and events but is also hired out to both local theatre groups and touring theatre companies. The theatre also plays host to stand-up comedy, live music and dance events.

Aided by his corvid companion Crowbert and a collection of curious contraptions, Mr West demonstrates the fundamental principles of scientific enquiry and tackles some of the trickiest questions in the history of humanity.

Best known as one half of magic duo ‘Morgan & West’, ‘The Magical Mr West’ has travelled around the world performing to audiences of all ages with spectacular shows that include magic, science and a good deal of tomfoolery. And last but not least, We're thrilled to introduce Robbie White in our leading role as Jack Trott! It's Robbie's first time with Polka Dot Pantomimes, and we can't wait to see him in action.

Robbie's impressive career spans TV, film, theatre, music, and presenting. He began in musical theatre but shifted to music at 16, touring Europe and opening for stars like Nathan Sykes and Max & Harvey, performing for crowds of up to 10,000 people. On screen, Robbie debuted at 15 and has since appeared in shows like Heartstopper (Netflix), Breaking The Band (ITV), and films such as Jellyfish (Bankside Films). His theatre work includes roles like Prince Charming in Cinderella and Prince Rat in Dick Whittington.

Beyond acting, Robbie has also made his mark as a live presenter, hosting events across the UK and Europe. He’s excited to bring the magic to Bristol this Christmas and can't wait to entertain you all as Jack Trott! 🌱

Pantomime season is approaching…

We’re thrilled to welcome back Vince Williams to the Redgrave Theatre as our Dame, Tilly Trott! 🐄

Trained at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts, Vince has enjoyed a successful career as a commercial dancer, appearing in shows like The Royal Variety Performance and the MTV Europe Music Awards. He’s worked with stars like Diana Ross, Take That, Robbie Williams, and Tom Jones, and appeared in TV shows featuring Lenny Henry, Hale and Pace, French and Saunders, and more.

Having played Dame in multiple Polka Dot Pantomimes, Vince is excited to return to the Redgrave as Tilly Trott, after delighting audiences as Widow Twankey in 2022 and Betty Bouffant in last year’s Rapunzel.

We’re thrilled to welcome back Amanda Board Salmon to the Redgrave Theatre this panto season as our villain, Poison Ivy! 🔮

Amanda, Principal and co-owner of The Bristol School Of Performing Arts “Dare to Dream,” returns to the Redgrave for the fourth time with Polka Dot Pantomimes. She’s a seasoned panto performer, having played roles like Wendy in Peter Pan alongside Henry Winkler, and the Witch in Beauty & the Beast in Kuala Lumpur.

Her TV credits include The King Of Hearts (Channel 4), Live at the London Palladium as Eponine in Les Misérables (ITV), and appearances in The Royal Variety Show and Children in Need.

She has brought her talents to various productions, including Paved With Gold and Ashes (London & Edinburgh Fringe), Jack and The Beanstalk (P&O Cruises), and PULSE: A Zombie Rock Musical.

Sophie trained at PPA, Guildford, and has performed in Sweet Charity, Flashdance, and Cabaret. Her professional credits include A Girl MissRed (Edinburgh Fringe 2023), Robin Hood, and Santa Claus and the Magical Christmas Journey.

In addition to teaching at Little Dancers in Bath, Sophie runs her own performing arts company in Bristol. She’s thrilled to bring Christmas cheer to the Redgrave Theatre as Fairy Sunshine!
