On Friday 12th July our head office team had our monthly team building meeting. As we all work remotely, we no longer have chance for a chat over coffee and the opportunity to reconnect on a personal level is invaluable.

Our agenda covered three things:

· Re-Introductions
· Sharing Positivity
· Problem Solving

It was a highly productive session, very positive, nice to catch up in an informal manner but more importantly to reconnect as a team and have a few laughs together.

Sometimes we underestimate the value of human connection and forget in our busy lives that outside of being on the end of a phone or email, as individuals we also have things that need outside input and support.

Did you know that September 4th – 8th is Zero Waste Week?

Although in our homes we may all think to recycle the tin from our beans on toast or the bottle from a well-deserved glass (or two) of wine, do you know you can recycle our containers and packaging?

Our containers:

• 5/12.5/25ltr jerrycans - fully recyclable HDPE and contain 40% PCR (post-consumer recycled content).
• 1 Litre bottles - fully recyclable HDPE and contain 31% PCR.
• 750ml bottle - fully recyclable PET and contain 30% PCR.
• 500ml bottles are manufactured from PET and are recyclable.
• All our boxes are fully recyclable and are made from 100% recycled paper. At the moment they do not carry the recyclable symbol, but this is being explored for the near future.

Not only are our chemical containers recyclable but our highly concentrated formulations and screen-printed bottles drastically reduce the amount of single use plastic, not only giving value for money but also reducing our environmental impact. Chemex Franchises Chemex Franchises

On Wednesday 12th July Chemex made a donation to Peterborough Soup Kitchen.

Peterborough Soup Kitchen is a local charity for homeless and disadvantaged people from in and around the city.

They prepare soup, hot and cold drinks together with a variety of sandwiches and take away food which are then taken, by a specially adapted serving van, to Wellington Streetcar park in the centre of Peterborough.

"Our loyal and dedicated teams of volunteers operate 52 weeks per year, 7 days per week, collecting, preparing, and handing out food to between 35 to 60 clients each day.

We have no paid staff just committed volunteers!"
