We are buzzing to introduce , an emerging painter based in Tauranga, New Zealand. Nathan’s debut collection with us is called ‘DIGITAL FATHERS’, a series that invites viewers to reflect on their own perceptions of masculinity in the digital world.

Digital Fathers, delves into the complexities of online masculinity and self-improvement culture by painting distorted prominent male figures, inc. Jordan Peterson, David Goggins and Hamza Ahmed. The idea of this series is to encourage a thoughtful dialogue rather than blind admiration.

“Over the past three years, my experience as a new father has led me through significant self-reflection and personal growth, striving to be a good father and positive role model for my son.

This journey inspired my current series, ‘Digital Fathers’, which delves into the complexities of online masculinity and self-improvement culture.” - Nathan Hemi

“As an artist, I am fascinated by the power of storytelling and how it shapes our understanding of the world around us. In particular, I’m interested in folktales and unexplained phenomena and how the two are connected. I explore this through my paintings, which often feature monsters, cryptids, and aliens.

By depicting these fantastical creatures, I aim to challenge viewers’ assumptions about what is real and what is imaginary. At the same time, I draw on traditional storytelling techniques to create narratives that comment on contemporary themes and issues.”

Adam S Forsythe is a British artist born in Bristol in 1981. He attended university in Brighton where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. His practice is concerned with human narratives on the edge of society and often features ghosts, monsters, and strange cryptids. Through his work, Forsythe explores the darker and more mysterious aspects of the human experience, delving into the unknown and the unexplained. His pieces are thought-provoking and haunting, inviting

London Based artist Tanguy Bourhis explores the lives of those around him — His art captures these connections, using objects as silent narrators of daily life. His painted eyes, peering out from behind a concealed figure, reveal his approach: rather than controlling, he observes, inviting the viewer to realize that, as they look at his work, his work also looks back

Here’s a polished version of that statement for promotional use:

When we invited Ariel to feature in our PRIVATE LIFE group show, she shared a playful and cheeky idea that immediately caught our attention. This one definitely got us thinking!

Words from Ariel.

“This painting explores the tension between what we choose to reveal and what we leave to the imagination. The camera embodies both the practicality of technology and its potential to erode privacy, alongside a literary Rorschach test. There is sort of a relentless gaze of surveillance, media, or voyeurism soaking into our lives. Increasingly, we are are coaxed into a sense of intimacy and neutrality when it comes to our ever fleeing privacy, blurring the lines between participation and control. As the idea of a private life becomes increasingly elusive, in some ways the painting asks: what are we truly _ _ _ _ ing?”

Super pumped to share that is the latest artist to be joining the gallery and featuring with us next week at our PRIVATE LIFE group show. If you’d like to acquire one of JAK’s works then just drop us dm or email [email protected] 🚀

JAK is a multifaceted American artist with disciplines in painting, illustration, photography, sculpture, and furniture. Each studio practice is used as a means of world-building and storytelling. His paintings are characterized by simplified shapes and harsh compositions, ‘maximally minimal,’ with only essential elements present. Crude symbols are challenged and personally reimagined to depict the aftermath of personal tragedy, infused with woe and fury.

JAK has exhibited paintings in New York City, Berlin, Los Angeles, and Toronto, and has also collaborated with major recording artists, designed interior spaces and runways, and directed many multimedia projects.

One of the most prevalent motifs in his work is the black cat. After a period of intense loss, this symbol, normally associated with bad luck or witchcraft, was repurposed as an obelisk of remembrance. With large omniscient eyes, they serve as an almost angelic reminder of loved ones past, illustrating that a symbol is only as powerful as it is allowed to be.

Kiko Miyares, an artist based in Llanes, Spain, has transformed the notion of being ‘caught in the headlights’ through his distinctive collection of carved wooden cars. Each vehicle, meticulously crafted from a single piece of timber, transcends static sculpture to become dynamic pieces that play with perception and form. Illuminated by their vibrant high-beams, these miniature creations project a variety of landscapes and scenarios, encouraging viewers to engage in a creative exploration where shapes, dimensions, and perspectives intertwine.

Miyares’ art challenges traditional boundaries by blending aesthetics with functionality, exploring how an object’s form can reshape our perception. His series of cars features elongated, sturdy lights that also serve as slender columns, suggesting a movement that is grounded.

Felix’s technique of using 3M reflective material instead of traditional canvas is quite innovative. By utilizing this material, which is often found in sportswear for its high visibility under low-light conditions, Felix is able to create a dynamic interaction between the artwork and its environment. The reflective surface would capture and reflect light, giving the impression that the artwork glows or changes appearance depending on the light source and the viewer’s perspective. This method introduces a play on luminosity, making the art appear more vibrant and alive, while also blurring the lines between fine art and more functional, everyday materials.

Imagined worlds suspended between speculation and reality. Fluid, reflective forms suggest shifting landscapes where time and space dissolve. The line between the natural and the artificial blurred, suspending time and place. Reimagined realties rushing towards the future.

Felix has poured months of dedication into the studio, crafting a special collection of works that each speak with their own distinct voice. Individually, they offer unique statements, but when brought together, they form an interconnected narrative, almost like a visual novel. Each piece adds a layer to the story, complementing and amplifying the others.

Excited to announce and tease another superb artist joining us at our ‘PRIVATE LIFE’ group show in London this October! 🐝 🇺🇸

Born in New Orleans in 1998, Alexandra’s life took a significant turn when Hurricane Katrina devastated the city in 2005, forcing her family to relocate. Art became a way for her to process these early life experiences, with oil painting offering a medium for reflection and introspection.

Alexandra Breaux is now Miami-based and currently pursuing her MFA in painting at Florida International University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Art with a minor in Art History in 2020. 👩‍🎓

Her work often draws on old and current family photographs to explore her deep connection to both her childhood and her New Orleans roots. Through fluid brushstrokes and a vibrant colour palette, Alexandra infuses her personal history into each piece, making these elements a defining part of her creative identity. 📸

We now have a list of available works from Alexandra so feel free to drop us a DM or email us at [email protected] 🏡
