Changing from my hourly rate to colour packages was a decision I made to make things simple and effective, and still based around the average time in my chair and products needed to achieve your dream looks!

These packages ARE fully customisable according to individual needs, for example if you did not want a cut & finish following colour, or you also needed a root tint alongside your half head of highlights!

As an accredited Wella Colour Expert, I will continue to offer 1:1 hair appointments, and will always will have your hair health as my top priority!

I hope this way of working will make everything clearer for everyone, and you like the design! Let me know what you think, and for 90% of you you’ll find that the pricing is almost exactly the same as before when I was running hourly rate ❤️❤️❤️

Lighting plays a HUGE role in how your blonde looks! Save this post to remind you that your inspo pics could just be lighting rather than the “true” colour!

Natural light tends to reflect better off of your blonde locks, making it appear brighter, and showing off the “highs and lows” much better than artificial light.

Artificial lighting doesn’t always bounce off blonde hair the same, leading it to potentially looking darker and duller…..also warmer or cooler! In some cases, ash/icy tones (💙) under warm lighting can look almost khaki as 💙 + 💛=💚.

Before you decide to tone the living daylights out of your hair at your next appointment, I suggest using natural daylight as your guide to how the tone truly is, it might be that your bathroom lighting is on the warmer side, making your clean blonde look darker and 💛.

Lightening hair, heat from styling, UV and even water can take its toll on the fabric of the hair, finer hair types in particular are more vulnerable to damage as there is less cuticle layers to protect it.

Hair needs proteins and moisture to stay strong, healthy and hydrated…..in a nutshell, you have to give back to it what’s been taken out to maintain a healthy head of hair!

I love using K18 to keep my clients hair strong, the peptides “mimic” healthy hair bonds, meaning your hair is over 80% stronger after just one treatment ❤️😍

Why (a little) warmth isn’t a bad thing as a blonde (or bronde) bombshell 👇

Warm tones reflect light making them appear brighter ✨ Whereas cooler (ash) tones absorb light making them appear darker.

So for that beautiful “clean” classy-looking blonde, you actually need a mixture of the two….enough warmth to be reflective, but not so much your hair looks brassy/yellow (because that’s never good).

If you’re someone who reaches for the violet shampoo at every hair wash, this is probably why you feel your hair is looking darker and more drab…..you’ve pushed the tonality to the much cooler side.

Whether I’m doing a partial blonding or balayage, I always foil/paint the ENTIRE hairline, including the back.

I can’t stand it when you get the dreaded “black hole” at the back when someone ties their hair up and it’s not been lightened for months due to just having the top and sides topped up!

It literally takes me all of 5 minutes to connect the front hairline to the back, so why wouldn’t I!

I am such a fan of using High Lift tint to create beautiful balayage and lived-in blondes, especially when we don’t want to have platinum results!

Using one of my signature zig-zag techniques and Mood High Lift line (and a lowlight formula to break up some existing blonde) we created the most stunning sun kissed, beachy blonde that was still healthy and shiny ❤️

“With highlighting techniques being so bespoke these days, it can be hard to know what technique to use for what result! 🤯

There are SO many colour combinations available, so how do you know which is best for you?

I try and keep it simple: how much depth we want to see, what shades and tones we want, and think about how much contrast this will give the finished result.

The less amount of hair you lift, the more contrast and more "points of interest" you create. On the other hand, the more hair you lift, the less dimension and movement will be visible on your finished result.

Another thing to bear in mind: if the natural hair is 2 to 3 levels darker than the highlighted sections, keeping a lot of natural depth will give an almost "high definition" ribboned effect, whereas leaving minimal depth will blend much more and look more diffused.

What highlighting looks do you prefer? Maximum, medium or minimum?”
