Hardman and Watson are looking for a friendly, efficient and quick-thinking individual to join our fast growing legal practice as a Receptionist / Administrator. Previous reception and office experience is essential.
Hours of work are Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm
Extra hours will be available for holiday and sickness cover as and when needed.
Duties will include:
Answering the telephone & responding to emails.
Dealing with general typing and document production.
Dealing with clients by way of face to face, telephone or email.
Diary management and taking payment.
Dealing with daily post.
Scanning and photocopying documentation.
Assisting other members of the team when required with general office duties which could include audio typing (training will be given).
The Successful candidate will be someone who has:
A positive, respectful, and friendly in their approach to communication with superb customer service skills.
Strong writing skills with an eye for detail and an excellent command of grammar and spelling.
A high level of self-motivation and enthusiasm.
A good understanding of word processing systems.
Has the ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels

Job Vacancy - Legal Assistant /Paralegal

Hardman and Watson are a long established and dynamic high street practice with two offices based in Broadstairs and Birchington. We offer clients services including conveyancing, family law, employment, landlord and tenant, general litigation and wills and probate.

The ideal candidate must either have experience as a legal assistant / paralegal or already be an experienced legal secretary who is ready and looking for the next step up. The successful candidate will be dealing with family and civil matters.

You will be dealing with:

Court applications,
collating documents,
chasing replies and instructions
preparing Court bundles and court forms.
Assisting fee earners with family law and civil litigation matters
Dealing with ID/AML procedures and requirements
Assisting with cases from the initial instruction to completion.
Liaising with clients, barrister chambers and the Courts
Dictation via Audio typing on files as and when required.
Duties will include:

Assisting with a varied caseload of family and civil litigation work.

Capable of taking direction from senior members of the team and implementing appropriately.
Willingness to get involved and act as a team player on client matters and provide general departmental support.

Experience

Display a knowledge of and or ideally have experience in Family and or Civil Litigation

Hours of work

9am - 5:15pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday although days can be flexible (Tuesdays are a must). 21 hours per week.

Salary £22,000.00 Pro Rata.

Private Client Assistant

• The Protection of Elderly & Infirm Persons
• Applications to the Court of Protection

Duties will include:
